My new Raptor (and a question)

Hi all,

Just joined the forum after taking delivery of my Raptor a couple of weeks ago. So far I’ve had the front silver components sprayed black, fitted spacers whilst waiting on some Method 305’s to arrive, and removed the decals from the rear.

One question (and apologies if this has been answered elsewhere), can the sports hoop thing be removed whilst retaining the factory Ford roller shutter? I can’t stand the thing!

That Sports hoop is new to me, I did not know they came with that. I just had the RC spacer added, and tomorromw 16 Sep, the dealership is adding the HP Sports pack tune. Im hoping its all the HP they claim. Note: its 825.00 from the dealer and 175 installed, to get 455Hp in that truck.

They are just 30mm hubcentric spacers.

Remove wheel, remove any rust with wire brush, bolt on the spacer, reinstall wheel. Job done

That’s plenty of poke. The 3L Raptors here only get 300hp from factory!

All the Raptors in the UK that are factory fitted with the electric roller shutter come with the sport hoop, which in my opinion looks horrid.

Looks like a ROW option, as I don't see it on US build and price.

It is, they have the third brake light integrated into the tailgate release handle. US safety still requires the high mounted cab brake light, so we don’t get the sports bar/chase rack as an option since it would block that.

Really easy. Just heated the area with my Wife’s hairdryer and got pealing. Any residue left over was removed with GooGone (adhesive remover).

No damage to the paint whatsoever

Ordinarily yes but I’ve got replacement wheels coming this week to will get an alignment done when those go on.
