So just an update on my original question of whether the sport hoop can be removed whilst keeping the factory roller…yes it can!

I’m aware this won’t concern most on here as you don’t have the sport hoop in the first place but if anyone wants any info on how to do it please feel free to ask :like:

It looks sooo much better.

I would like more info on how we can get a sport hoop in the US. We could likely use the same one, just have to relocate the 3rd brake light to the rear of it. Does it have a Ford part #? Not sure how the parts catalog here jives w/overseas parts, but I know some folks who can cypher Ford catalogs pretty well

If we can remove it from ours I don’t see why you can’t fit it to yours. As you say you’d just have to give some thought to the brake light.

I’m not at home currently to see if there’s a part number located anywhere. However, there’s a garage here in the UK that specialises in modifying Rangers/Raptors. I spoke to them to get advice on how to remove the sport hoop. He said they have a pile of them that they have removed from trucks so I could ask if they would be willing to ship one to the US (assuming that’s where you are?).

It’s funny how we always want what we can’t have :giggle:

Nice! Yes I am in the US! There are also aftermarket options from Austrailia, and some "universal fit" options in the US, but I really had not thought about the 3rd brake light being a stumbling block in the US, but should be an easy workaround. I'm just looking for an easy place to mount offroad lights...don't want to drill my roof, and they get broken too easy when mounted on the bumper...sport bar seems like the best solution to me. DM me any details you can get from them, thanks!

That Sports hoop is new to me, I did not know they came with that. I just had the RC spacer added, and tomorromw 16 Sep, the dealership is adding the HP Sports pack tune. Im hoping its all the HP they claim. Note: its 825.00 from the dealer and 175 installed, to get 455Hp in that truck.
Theres videos on youtube with the procal tune its delivering whats expected

Looks great @Peasley.

UK based here too and looking to do the same thing.

Was wondering what the P/N is for the replacement bed-side rails are? I've not taken off the existing sports-hoop yet, but it has the same metal rails as your earlier photos and can't see if there's the same parts as yours underneath?

There’s nothing underneath the factory metal rails so ordered these plastic ones as shown in the above photo…

The only issue I’m now having is water ingress into the bed. I ran some foam weatherstrips under the new rail caps but a bit of water is still getting in so need to give it some more thought.
