How about mpg gains?
Sponsored
I have not noticed a difference in MPG.Wow! This is nice. Does it affect mpg?
The nay-saying began after release of the 5G, one of the most controversial mod discussed 5 years ago with posts very similar to the one above and currently there are 24 pages of threads on the subject. But unless I missed it there wasn't the N-S on the AFE CAI topic. I am considering both. Good response to the NSKnew it wouldn’t be long before the naysayers to show up.
Doesn’t affect a MAF or MAP sensor at all. Oiling of any K&N filter is insignificant if done correctly, nor does it blow off once dry.
The 3.0T RR uses a MAP sensor downstream and isn’t located in the intake. There is an IAT sensor in the intake tube. Normal maintenance is all that’s required for either sensor.
FORD Performance, exclusively utilize K&N filters in the GT500 with their tuning packages. It’s also the only factory authorized, aftermarket replacement filter.
Keep in mind, it’s customary when you copy and paste from a website to post the URL or the actual authors name for reference. Not all internet references are accurate or factual. There are literally over one hundred + references with regard to this subject.
Now besides anecdotal referenced commentary, what actual first hand experience do you have with this K&N Intake or any for that matter?
This particular thread happens to be about a 2.3T K&N Intake, not an oiled K&N filter for a 2013 GT500.
This K&N intake is running a dry filter as per the op with a specific Dyno chart.![]()
I got word from k&n three days ago that it should be within the next few weeks.any word on release date?
