Thai built trucks , seat covers are perfect.
maybe an American supplier issue .
covers are just not taught enough which suggests there to big .

It seems that the material of the US spec is real leather. The Thai spec seat material is plastic (PU Leather), which is easier to upholster with a better finish.

Think there all faux leather .
but to be honest I prefer it .
it’s very forgiving and mine has had some abuse but still cleans up like new.
it doesn’t scratch like leather or crack.

Similar issues. Pic taken at 60 miles (a week old Ranger Raptor) Seat stiching is wobbly. It looks like the inserst are stiched by a 5 y/o. It is not even round. See pics

Just did a short test drive of my new 2024 RR today, a delight to drive thus far.
Unfortunately the first thing I noticed (after reading this thread) all the leather
seats have the same wrinkles around the lower suede stitched area.
Not atheistically pleasing quality considering the price of the vehicle.

My leather on my Lariat FX4 is concerning as well. There is too much sag in bolstered areas and there is a 6inch seam that is missing threading in my back seat. I can stick my entire hand under the leather and touch the foam. Great spot for kids to melt chocolate.

I worry about longevity of the front seats. The plastic perimeter that contains the driver and passenger seat bottoms is quite sharp. When throwing my leg over to exit/enter the vehicle, the pastic perimeter saws at the seat cover. This is going to be a problem in the future.

Sorry for the b*tch fest. Otherwise, the seats are comfortable. I still like my Ranger.

100 miles on mine, got it yesterday, and noticed the same thing - loose fitting seat covers, wrinkly...almost as if they don't have enough "cushion" to properly fill out the cover / sleeve. Hopefully an issue Ford will warranty, but I fear replacements at this point will look the exact same. If we all complain, hopefully over time we have proper fix and I'll do the swap then...

The problem is that the seat foam is not supported. Put your hand under the seat and on the foam toward the rear of the seat. Then make a fist and press down on the top. You can feel that the foam just goes down unrestricted. The foam must be 100% supported on the bottom of the foam like a spring support. I just picked up my 2024 Ranger XLT and drove it for 1 1/2 hours. Most uncomfortable ride I have ever had, because of the seat cushion. I got home and immediately tried to find the problem. I found the soft stop in the middle rear of the seat. If it was a vinyl covering, it would no doubt stretch the vinyl like above. I like the Truck but I nor my 120 lb wife can stand the seat cushions. The passenger side seems to have some support in the rear with a plastic panel.

I think mine are incredibly comfy, should poor fit and finish on the fill / stitching. Seeming nothing holding the covers tight either, just loosely fitted almost like an aftermarket seat cover. Hopefully this is addressed in time by Ford, not gonna age well…

This is a wide spread issue that Ford must be aware of, easily remedied with a different design or replace them with a fix. Please don't muck all of us that purchase your products or likely we'll all be going with a different manufacturer. A simple bulletin stating that you're aware and will address anyone with these issues would be expected. I'll be expecting photos from my dealer before I complete the purchase of my RR. The wrinkles on the front center around the velour is simply wrong.

Photos before purchase won’t matter. My seats looked good before I bought it. After a week of owning it the seats look terrible now.

Mine was built in May. Currently has 3700 miles on it. I don't have the wrinkly seat problem.
