Driver seat will only go 2/3 of the way back - looked under the seat and saw a platic guard that goes around a grey box and it looked a little melted and had popped up. I pushed it back down - but still no dice. Notice the memory buttons are not working - not sure if there is a connect with that. Love to hear from anyone that can help - I have a long drive tomorrow and no dealer help today.

Sorry to hear. Is the little grey box a melted electical relay? That might account for the memory buttons not working and/or a blown fuse.
Does the seat move all the way forward and back but stop before it goes all the way back? If so, make sure something didn't fall into the track, preventing the seat travel. Even a pen or pencil could be hard to notice at first glance.
If the seat is not moving forward or back anymore, start with testing fuses. If you can't get it fixed before your long drive, maybe you could adjust the collapsible steering wheel al the way into the dash to get by till you can bring it in for diagnosis. Best of luck, The Lone Ranger.

Thanks for the reply - the box is a gray metal box under the seat. Finally got under there and it looks like its a wire loom that may be catching on the gray box. Seat moves forward and backwards but stops on the back travel about 2/3 of the way back. Did finally get it to move all the way back as the loom popped over the grey box. I left it there not wanting to run it forward and then could not go back again.

Thanks for update, @The Lone Ranger. Happy to hear that you were able to get the seat back before your trip. Perhaps, there is a way to nylon strap tie that loom out of the way to prevent it catching or just letting the dealer deal with it at your convenience. Curious, did that solve the seat memory buttons not working also?

Dealer pulled seat anad replaced plastic piece under the seat that had not been secured when built and tied up a loom that was hanging down under the seat. Memory function on seat is restored.
