Reason I was saying that was I took the spare FOB and laid it on the back bumper and the truck would start - that is why I am thinking the FOB I am missing is not on/in the truck.
Not on the truck or I could start the truck.
Does anyone know if the chime and warning are fairly loud and persistent or just short and goes away quickly where maybe you wouldn't notice it ?
So if I had set the key on the truck and drove off but I did not get a warning chime saying the FOB was no longer present, can I assume then that it must have gotten home with me and I set it down in the garage or house ?
Geez ..................... I hate getting old
2024 Lariat - my key FOB has gone MIA on me - is there any way Ford can "beep" the FOB or at least tell you a general area where it is ?
Don't know if I set it on the truck and then drove off or lost it after I got home. :explode:
Did the same comparison shopping - never got to the test drive once I saw how little leg room in the back seat and that stupid screen that sticks up above the dash - especially troubling when looking in the direction of the passenger side fender. Never regretted picking the Ranger. Have...
Have used mine on two different trailers without issue. Just make sure bluetooth is turned on in your phone or you will have nothing - learned the hard way - no idea how it got turned off in the first place - second Lippert (Curt) tech I talked to knew right away what the problem was. I put a...
2.3 engine --- Several 140 mile round trips to Eugene, Oregon and back (65-70mph) and I have yet to get over 21 mpg (hand calculated) ......... kind of disappointed ...... what happened to the 26 MPG TFL reported on their mileage challenge video ??
Used a half a tank of gas going 3 hours to pick trailer up - dash calculator said 21 mpg. By the time I got home the dash calculater said 15 mpg - so I will let the math professors figure what I actually got pulling the trailer.
Dealer now states Ford re-contacted them and said this piece was a shipping pad and should have been removed at the factory during assembly. The goat rodeo continues.
Dealer pulled seat anad replaced plastic piece under the seat that had not been secured when built and tied up a loom that was hanging down under the seat. Memory function on seat is restored.
Switching travel trailer battery to lithium. There are posts on the internet saying you should install a DC/DC converter if you do not have a "protected alternator" in the tow vehicle (to protect against overheating and premature failure of the alternator). Anyone know if the Ranger has this...
Haven't had a chance to take it out yet - just got it home. It's a 2023 model 2018TB - we really like that floorplan with the twin beds- converts to King bed if you want and has nice large dinette and bathroom - plus Dometic absorption refrigerator !!
