I tested the top speed limiter, finally. Still at 107 so if theres a zombie apocalypse, i might be in trouble
It's stupid. There are times that I am passing someone on a two lane road, and I need those extra MPH for a few seconds, but it tops out and I am like, DAMN!

I find it so stupid that big brother needs to police us. Like helmet laws, if you are stupid enough to not wear one and you die, survival of the fittest. 32 years of driving and I have never gotten into an accident other than a fender bender. And I drive fast. But since I race cars and motorcycles, the street is child's play.

But, i did acrivate the compass on the xl 8" cluster, snd it works while driving and matches what direction my phone says. I also checked all the splash screens settings and only the raptor one works.
How did you activate that compass? I'd like to activate it too.

As the splash screen, here is what I noticed: when you change it, it rarely works at first try. Here is what you should do: select the splash screen you want to test, write it, turn ignition off and back on, wait for the sync 4 to start again, hold "volume -" and "track +" buttons on the steering wheel for about 6 seconds until your whole entertainment system shuts off. That way you make it hard reboot and the new splash screen should work.

I've tried almost every one of them and here is what I found: the Raptor one really works, but it seems to be from a wide screen, not a tall one like ours, so I feel the whole animation is stretched vertically and loses some quality (low resolution).

I googled which ford cars have the tall screens and found that the Mach E Mustang has the same tall screen ratio as ours Rangers. So the real high resolution options I found for the splash screen were "Mach E" (a beautiful blue animation) and also "Mach E GT" (same animation as the Mach E one but with some gold elements.). The GT is the one i'm using right now.

Guys, who is responsible for updating the spreadsheet? I decided to take a look at it again today and realized it's quite outdated. There are more confirmed features that are not updated there yet.

Have the features been confirmed on all versions of the vehicle or just certain models? Have the features been confirmed on all version of the vehicle but for a specific country, or all countries?

Yo superj, does your oil pressure gauge work? I've tried to programme mine in my 3.0 V6 but it never goes above 0psi.

What engine is in your ranger??

Regards.

So I know it's a dead horse, or at least thoroughly beaten, but I still can't understand the inability to change the default drive mode. I wonder what the logic is? Typically manufacturers cite safety, but what's the safety concern of my truck being in Sport or Tow mode when I start it up? Makes no sense to me.

Emissions. The baseline tests for emissions certification are done in normal mode. If the manufacturers gave us the ability to start in another mode they would have to recertify everything in that mode as well, and that certification process is NOT cheap.

And let’s be honest, most drivers will never switch out of that.

Still not good enough IMO. Should be able to note that it is a result of owner configuration or something. I prefer driving my truck in Sport mode. I'm not flooring it all the time, but it's def more responsive and feels like it shifts better. I get that these are all first world problems, but would be nice to do a Ronco and 'set it and forget it'.

Hi All, I have a couple of questions I hope someone might be able to help me with! First of all I attempted to enable the DRL Control in the APIM which did work to the point the menu appeared in the infotainment screen, the strange part is it didn't do anything at all and the DRL's went from being constantly on to completely off regardless of light switch position or toggle switch in the menu. Due to this I disabled the DRL Control function and the DRL's started working again but only when the light switch is in 'Auto'. if I turn it to 'O' they go off now?! I actually don't mind this but I'm confused what made this happen as they were permanently defaulted to 'ON' previously....... any ideas? I also enable the 'Auto Lock Control in the APIM as suggested in one of the feeds and the option appears in the infotainment menu options but its greyed out and does nothing.... Any ideas on this also? Appreciate any help offered!

As far as i know, you have always been able to turn off DRL by simply turning the swich to off, as it was in my 5g and 6g ranger. The autolock control, and a host of othet options are only accessible with trans in park and parking brake on

On my European Raptor the daytime running lights could not be turned off, in any position of the switch (even on 0) : it is a European standard/obligation that the DRL cannot be turned off.
With forscan I activated the "control of the daytime running lights" in the APIM. A new one appeared and now :
- when it is on OFF the DRL do not turn on in any position
- when it is on ON they turn on but I can turn them off by putting the switch on 0, which was impossible before.
