I believe he was responding to the gentleman that asked if it was something that could be completed same day, by explaining that it should take less than 40 minutes for the actual tune update. Of course, scheduling that in advance would make sense, because, as you said, service departments tend to stay pretty busy. The phrase "full-stop" is commonly used by other English-speaking countries as opposed to saying "period" at the end of a declarative statement, where one is pointing out that it isn't something to be argued, as it has been repeatedly proven to be factual information. I have noticed it creeping into the American lexicon lately and have even used it myself a few times.My Fault, I probably wasn’t clear. There was no incompetence or anything nefarious going on at my Ford dealership. They did the tint, scratch repair, and the FP tune in four hours after I dropped it off. I was not the only customer in the service bay that day. Even if it takes 40 minutes, service departments aren’t Domino’s Pizza and have a schedule to work within… full stop?![]()
