Yes and no.

When Shelter Green was first shown online, I hated it. Ordered mine in Hot Pepper Red. But after waiting since Jesus was a baby for mine to be delivered, my dealer got in a stock order Shelter Green (tied with Shadow Black as most popular color for Ranger Raptor) and told me I had first right of refusal. When I saw it in person, I was shocked at how wrong I was. Still, I told them I needed to think about it.

I bought it the next day.

I'm really glad I went with the shelter green, looks fantastic.

Been to the desert many times and the sand doesn't look even close to that.

I live in the desert, and that color on the Bronco Sport looks exactly like some of the color you see out here. Whether you want a vehicle that color is a matter of opinion, but it definitely does look like the desert.

You know what I've never seen? A cactus that looks like Cactus Grey...

I just saw my first Shelter Green RR on the road today and it looks quite a bit better than I expected after seeing photos of it. Still not for me, but I can understand the allure to others.

Really wish we had Code Orange or Race Red as options here after seeing them in person overseas.

Yes and no.

• Black has always been very popular. People like being "hard" and "gangsta" or "timeless".
• White is split since its the color of every fleet vehicle ever, and because some cars look very good in white, staying "fresh" or "clean" or "storm trooper mode".
• Silver / Grey I dont know what people see in those colors. Some darker greys get into the same area as white, but most greys (sorry Cactus Grey folks) are just bland.
• Dark Blue is the outlier as I assumed Red would be more popular nation wide, but Dark Blue is close to black.
• Weird colors just dont sell for a variety of reasons -
  • Ridiculous markup
  • Color is actually ugly
  • Low volume vehicle in general
  • Color appeals to only a specific demographic
  • Cool color only on highest trim.

Ain't like I never had a lot of variety my friend. I'm good with Iconic Silver w/black stripes. Loved them all tho.

I prefer Toyota and Nissan's color selection to Ford's 50 shades of Gray. But I do like Space White.

Tacoma's new Bronze color is pretty awesome. I also like the Frontier's forest green, reminds me of my first mountain bike. Honestly I have very dark color GTI and you can literally watch the dust settle on it. I'm kind of enjoying how my white Ranger always looks clean, plus its perfect for sitting in the hot high desert sun. My next choice would be a desert tan/sand, just as far as pure looks though I like the Chili Pepper Red, probably rather have it on a Mustang.

I like the desert tan, but it needs to be more tan and less grey. Should have just offered Terrain since it's available on the Maverick anyway.

Desert tan is hideous.....it's not just Ford, though, as I've seen that baby barf color on some other vehicles, too.

I think it looks cool for a high speed desert runner. You know, I choose different colors for an offroad truck than for a sports car.

Can't go wrong with white. Looks the best with age and it's worth $1500 more when you sell it.
