Here is a pic of my preferred settings so far, after a 5 hour road trip bringing it home last night.
Ford Ranger What's your preferred Ranger Raptor MyMode Settings? IMG_8143

I felt the steering was just bit too stiff or tight, in normal, comfort was the clear winner for my likening.

Suspension seemed like normal was the smoothest, where I really thought off-road suspension setting would be the smoothest, but sure felt like normal was smoother.

I am really a diehard V8 guy, just not a big fan of how V6’s sound in general. So making it loud was really not for me. So quiet worked best for me, plus I think I hear the turbos a little more in quiet mode, I think anyway. I didn’t drive it a lot in the louder modes just played around with all the exhaust settings.

Of course I shut off that damn start stop crap.lol

I have not experimented yet with the other then normal drive modes. I am not real sure which others even work in 2wd at interstate speeds.

I have mine set the same way. There's nothing I've found yet that says what the softest setting is for the suspension. I wonder if the exhaust being in quiet mode reduces gas mileage due to more back pressure in the exhaust.

I get your logic but I sort doubt that’s effecting it, i am just thinking most cars and trucks that do not have adjustable exhaust like RR are typically very quiet. Most manufactures seem to design their products for the best economy they can get to avoid as many EPA fines or fees.

My 6.2L AT4X I had last year, was crazy quiet for a big v8 so I fixed it by seapping mufflers to a high flow much loader exhaust and milage didn’t improve or change at all.

Before 100% stock.

After muffle swap.

What is everyone thoughts on the smoothest shock setting.

I was sure thinking off road would have been the smoothest.
Seems normal model on the shocks seems smoother then off road mode.

What do you guys think the smoothest setting is?

Just curios if others came to the same conclusions as I have.

I believe offroad mode stiffens the shocks for greater control during hard impacts so it would make sense that it's the roughest suspension setting.

Normal damper, sport exhaust, sport steering. Love the sound, tighter steering, and softer ride on hwy. Also turns auto start/stop off.

Is turning auto start / auto stop feature only a feature on the RR or can we do it on our Lariat’s as well? We all just looked at the $100 bypass glove box bypass wire on this forum. If there is a menu selection available I would love to hear about it

I've played a bit with it. The steering change is noticeable between settings. Comfort is definitely my preference. Suspension normal and off road feel pretty similar on highway. I REALLY wish they gave us a comfort setting for suspension, or make off road/baja more like a trophy truck ride.

Any chance anyone will ever figure out how to custom program/tune the shocks? I was really expecting a cushier ride for a baja truck.

I agree, my 2010 6.2L F150 Raptor was incredible in just how smooth it was in all situations and terrains. My TRX is smoothest in off road mode, which is really what I was expecting off road mode in the Ranger to be like.

I have tried switching back and forth from normal to off road in the RR and at times I can’t hardly tell them apart, other times I am almost certain normal mode is smoother. I kind of wish Ford gave more details on what these suspension modes are supposed to do.

I think it has to do with the Live Valve shocks. My first-generation 2022 Ranger Raptor had Fox passive suspension without the live valve system, like my 2011 Ford F-150 Raptor, and it drove very smoothly, like floating on clouds. It was a shock to feel the firmness of the new generation Ranger Raptor—a big initial disappointment. But now I've gotten used to it and it feels fine. The current F-150 Raptor no longer feels the same as the first-generation ones without the live valve system.

oddly enough I cannot tell much difference in the steering wheel setting. Are you guys seeing, feeling a big change when setting changed?

I definitely felt a big difference on the one I test drove. The salesman had the steering in sport and before we made it out of the parking spot I was thinking the steering was pretty heavy. Slapped it over to comfort and it was significantly easier to maneuver in the parking lot

Yea that steering is one that I can 100% tell the difference. I much prefer the comfort setting.
Which honestly, I wish Comfort was even lighter and normal mode was what we have now as comfort. Even comfort still feels a little heavy, but near as heavy as normal and sport.

I completely agree with you on that. The normal mode is about as heavy as the dynamic (sport) mode in my A6. Now I'm sure sport mode is properly tuned for hooning in the desert at high speeds, but I've yet to test that theory lol
