Theft alarm systems

If you have a newer model Ranger including Raptor I highly recommend the Ford Pass or Ford Pass Connect app. It has a built in perimeter alarm system + other advanced options. If your car is hit while parked, attempted entry or broken into or towed away, the app notifies you via your cell phone as it is happening. It can globally track your truck as it is moving and you can disable the engine. No matter where you or your truck are located, the system will notify you. I believe there is also a crash sensing/911 notification on the "Connect" version.

I did some research and it appears Ford disabled the feature. No timeframe of when it might return.

Interesting ...... mine is working beautifully. I would highly recommend that you go to the google play store to download and install "Fordpass app" (NOT Fordpass connect) to your cell phone and follow the directions. I believe the icon will be downladed to your Sync 4a after you register thru the app.

I tried your suggestion and it didn’t work. I’m also app challenged. I did call Ford customer care. According to the rep I spoke with, if the vehicle detects a theft attempt (glass break, locked door opened etc.), the app will alert you.

Ford Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System | Accessories | Ford.com I understand that the module, for vehicles that already have remote start and hood latch sensor, essentially only adds shock sensing (glass break, vehicle tampering, etc.).

The reason I ask is, in the installation manual there is a procedure to enable/disable "Optional Vehicle Security Features". 2024_Remote_Start_9_20_2023_FINAL.pdf

Sorry but I am not familiar with that option
