Wow, beautiful truck, man, and exactly the colors I would choose. Is the ride as smooth on the road as the review says? It is much higher than the regular Ranger (my wife is four-foot-eleven, that is why I ask).

Hi Mark, one of the best things I like from the raptor is the ride. It absorbs irregularities from the road very well (very comfortable) without swaying in the curves or going up and down like a boat, the fox suspension is very well tuned and the rear springs allows the rear end to be well planted in the road, so you can still drive it very sporty without issues.

It is a high vehicle, I use a small stool to work on it so I can reach out well into the engine compartment or to clean it (im 1.7m), but to get in and out its not a problem at all because the truck has the side steps from the factory and they are pretty wide, as well as handles around the doors to hold on to, so no issues there. My mother, who is very short (1.5m) and my mother in law that uses a walking stick climb in and out being seniors in their 70's without complains so far.

@Ivan Baez

What brand bed top/cover did you get?
Hi, I got the cover from mountain top. The cover in general is very well built, but the instructions are not so well made, its all pictures and many, many parts which are not clearly identified, you need to be skilled in working mechanics and installations in general and have a lot of patience to be able to assemble it. It took me around 9 hours to do it. For the final mount in the truck you need 2 people. The packing from Mountain top is also not top notch, there was some damage in my cover, some metal parts got lose and scratched others lightly, etc. Also during transportation it seems they dropped it in a corner and it does not have enough protection as it should, so it bent the frame a little bit and cracked one of the plastics whidch are not seen, I had to straighten the frame back to be able to mount it.

I had to fly the cover from the UK to the USA and then into MX to install it. I tried to get it from Mountain Top USA but they never answered my enquiry, nor did their HQ. So I eneded up purchainsg it in a store at the UK and had it shipped over.

I checked with US cover makers but noe had yet covers for the next gen ranger and did not provide a date, if you are in the US I would probaly wait until the US brands sell them to the public. Other options were in asia and australia like aeroklas and other brands that looked also good quality, but they did not ship into the USA or was even more expensive.

I hope the info helps.

Question:

What do you guys plan to do with the 400W outlet on the 2024 RR? There's not much that low amperage can support?

I ride E-MTBs so it will be a convenient place to charge up the bike while driving to the destination. It also seems great for a powered cooler.

How much current does the cooler draw?

I’ll start carrying a dewalt charger in my tool backpack when head places but it won’t get used very often.

Same. I may use it for power tool battery charging once in a blue moon. It could be used for speakers, lights, compressors, or other camping items that don't draw too much juice.

Realistically I don't think I'd use it too much on a regular basis, as I don't in my 4runner today, but who knows.

If I was doing any sort of serious camping, I’d have a larger inverter or a battery unit anyway. I guess it’s cool for wired power tools but does anyone own one of those anymore? Either way 3.5A is not a lot for me to get excited about.

Coffee maker draws more than 3.5A
