Anyone else less than thrilled about design of the onscreen button for these?
They make cell phones hands free for safety yet Ford allows both these hidden in one tiny screen button to navigate to (2) smaller buttons that imho a lot more distracted driving than a phone. They are not in a great spot on screen and at minimum should be separated!
I know we can bring up the temperature controls for easier access to the steering wheel heat but the seat heater requires the 2 step method each time.
Can for scan fix this? Thanks

My cheat for turning them on is to remote start in cold weather. Only problem with that is it sets the seat to the highest setting. If I’m not wearing a jacket I usually have to turn down to the middle setting or it gets just a tad too hot. And like you said, interacting with those options while driving is not easy. Muscle memory should eventually kick in.

I wish those buttons were a little more accessible and wish the auto hold toggle was at the top next to the CarPlay button

I love the auto hold feature except when I pull into my garage

There has been a measurable increase in fatal vehicle accidents in the last few years. An argument can be made there is a significant distraction element to many of those accidents because of on-screen "buttons."

There is a lot of space available on Ford's large screens so if they want to use on-screen buttons, make them bigger. The new Toyota Tundra's buttons are huge reducing the distraction and safety factor. I've found the small buttons look nice, but once located they need a press of at least a couple of times, not to mention aiming issues, particularly on a less than perfect roads, to get them to function as intended. The distraction issue is not small and it's also a safety issue.

A row of mechanical switches under the existing fan/volume/recirc switches would eliminate the heated seat/steering wheel dual button control and allow things like the locking diffs in the same row. Or put them on top of the dash as the row of buttons exist on the Bronco.

had this exact conversation with a Kia dealer while shopping a vehicle for my wife. They put the heated wheel button…..on the wheel. Imagine that. Phusical buttons are not just helpful they are safer than touch. Especially in a bouncy truck.

I agree. These On screen buttons are too small and as someone said takes a few tries to hit. Very dangerous and frustrating. Ford needs to fix this. I believe it can be done with firmware update. Ford, what do you say about this?
