I saw that news release this morning. Gray plastic body panels. GM tried it years ago. Apparently Slate plans on DIY vinyl wrap kits as an option.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think you can make a vehicle that passes all of the US's regulations for $20,000. Its going to cost significantly more when it goes on sale.

Don't get to excited about this truck for under $20,000 dollars. A friend of mine put a deposit down on an Elio over 10 years ago and you can read in this link what a scam it was. I hope this Slate truck really happens, but the video sounded just like the Elio sales pitch.
