Folks, does anyone know if the colour of the truck that pops up on the 12 inch display is changeable with Forscan, my truck is ruby red and I would prefer that over the current grey one.

Not sure on Forscan but mine changes when you change the mode ie: green when in eco, blue when in normal and so on.

I think he is talking about when you turn on and off the truck, the ranger on the gage cluster. Mine is grey and matches my truck but i always wondered if your truck was another color, did that match?

That’s why I bought a Carbonized Gray Ranger, so the truck would match the color of the truck on the dash. 🤥

There is an item called "MyColor" in IPC module at 720-06-02 with eight settings for "enabled" but I have not tried them. My truck is red but shows blue. I have not looked at my factory settings yet, as I have not had time.

From Perplexity;

The "MyColor" feature in the Ford Ranger, as referenced in the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) module at address 720-06-02 in FORScan, is related to Ford's ambient interior lighting customization system. When enabled, MyColor allows users to select from a wide range of interior lighting colors for various parts of the vehicle's cabin, such as the gauge cluster, footwells, cupholders, door pockets, and more, depending on the model and equipment3.

Enabling MyColor in the IPC through FORScan typically unlocks the ability to personalize these lighting colors, either through the SYNC infotainment system or physical buttons (depending on the vehicle's generation and configuration)3. The eight settings for "enabled" likely correspond to different levels or modes of MyColor activation, possibly controlling which areas are illuminated or how many color options are available, though the exact mapping of each setting is not detailed in the search results.

It's important to note that while enabling this feature in the software may add the option in your menus, the physical hardware (LEDs and wiring) for ambient lighting must be present in your vehicle for the feature to work. Some users have reported gaining an "Ambient Light" button in their display settings after enabling related options in FORScan, allowing them to adjust color and intensity2.

In summary, enabling "MyColor" at 720-06-02 in the IPC module via FORScan activates or expands the ambient lighting customization options in your Ford Ranger, provided your vehicle is equipped with the necessary hardware32.

To answer my own question, from Perplexity; (never thought to check ask Perplexity first)

There is currently no official way to change the color of the truck graphic or animation that appears in the instrument cluster display when you start up your Ford Ranger. The color of the vehicle image shown on startup is fixed and is not user-configurable through the vehicle’s settings, SYNC system, or via customization tools like FORScan21012.

While the digital instrument cluster in newer Rangers (especially 2022+ models) allows for customization of displayed information, layouts, and sometimes accent colors for the gauges, there is no supported feature to alter the color or appearance of the truck illustration itself21210. Most available customizations focus on what data is shown or the style of the gauge display, not the startup animation or its colors.

Additionally, there is no documented method in enthusiast forums or official Ford resources indicating that this particular graphic can be changed, even with advanced modifications or coding.

Interesting...my truck is Azure Gray but it doesn't have my BAP or wheels. Still kinda neat.

Weird. My screen shows an exact image of my truck. Azure Gray, chrome wheels and running boards.
It seems there's no consistency at all from vehicle to vehicle. WTF?
