Mine had a registry error out of the box, bought it from a third party, spoke with Ford performance and they sent me a new one two day priority. sent the old one back to them. no issues.

Update - visited installing dealer who called Performance Hotline - removed my unit to send in for replace/repair.
I will be informed when it's ready --
Please share your outcome...what happened?

Called dealer to inquire about what they've learned about my tuner - "Heard nothing yet".
So - I emailed Ford performance to try and find out what was the hold-up.
I got a reply from FP at 10:15pm that night - they had just heard from the dealer and were sending out a mailer to them. I'm not sure why it sat there for near three weeks before contacting FP - don't want to jump to conclusions. I'm going to stop there on Monday and look the service manager in the eye and ask what's going on. I'm done with this dealer when this issue is over.

Dealership debacles all to common; the rule rather than exception.
Ok with FoMoCo...weak link for satisfaction = Stealers
Opting to get install at my trusted BMW performance shop [indy]...always dependable. ;)

I'm trying to be a good customer - not putting unreasonable demands on them.
Keeping our exchanges professional and courteous.
I've been around, understand that things happen, we're human.
When I show up tomorrow - unannounced - show him the response I received from FP - how that is handled will make/break this deal.

Walked into the service department - asked what the status was with my tuner.
I was told by tomorrow the decision would be made as to repair/replace.
I asked why it took three weeks to get it shipped - got a blank look - then I pulled up my phone with the email from FP. He excused himself and disappeared into the service area, came out five minutes later - apologized - repeated that we will know tomorrow.
Not sure if I could do that job . . .

It's been 33 days since the tune was removed - felt like I was driving with the valet key.
New unit installed - tech mentioned this is an updated version, not sure what he meant by that, just pleased to have the performance - and the screen with all the gauges/live info returned.
