No build date yet for my Ranger Lariat 2.7L (June order)

I ordered my Ranger Lariat 2.7 liter back in June and I have still not received a build date. Today I found one arriving at a dealership nearby this week. It has all the options I ordered plus the off road package and is the same exact price. Tomorrow, I will ask my dealer for my deposit back and put it on the new one. Does he have to refund me?

I believe it depends by state and contract but typically a refund should be given. Also, the refund in a timely matter is another thing also. Expect a long wait.

Well, I just put down a deposit. I went from having no idea if it would ever show up to an imminent delivery. From not returning my calls to calling on Labor Day. It feels right.

My dealer never even deposited the deposit check I gave them. On purchase day, they gave it back to me. I hadn't noticed
