That is up to Ford. The Ford tracker is not the best thing in the world for accuracy except for the major stages of birth. The order process goes like this:

  • You submit a retail order through a dealer. This is your custom order you ordered.
  • Your dealer assigns a priority number 3-20. Anything above 20 is reserved for stock orders which are what dealers order to fill their lots.
  • The priority number is controlled by THE DEALER and can be CHANGED by the DEALER whenever they wish. If they tell you something different they are lieing or just dont want to tell you.
  • You want a priority number somewhere between 9-13 realistically, lower is better. Anything above 13 probably wont get built as each week they schedule they take all the lowest priorities first to schedule.
  • They are averaging 15k rangers a quarter and as of 2 weeks ago, stock orders for 24s were still open (haven't kept up the past 2 weeks).
  • Next your dealer needs to have an allocation for a ranger. If the dealer doesnt have an allocation it'll never get built. Ranger Raptor allocations are separate then normal ranger allocations.
  • Allocations are driven by sales numbers. Generally speaking you should be ok since its a lariat on this front.
  • If you have the priority code and allocation sorted, then it comes down to options. The more options you order, the greater likely hood that Ford wont build it because they dont have all the parts for whatever it is. Ford will only build trucks it can complete, period.
  • If you got the 2.7, people just started getting these so they are being a little slow to roll out compared to the raptors and normal rangers.
  • If you havent gotten a cancel at this point, then they do expect to be able to build it since stock orders are still open, they have capacity (as of 2 weeks ago). Planning its about 2-3 months out.

With all that said, thats how long it takes. If you go another week (Tuesdays is when the scheduling notes are released) and you dont see any movement contact the dealer and ask them to check on things.

Thank you. My priority code is 10 and job 02. Hopefully they build it. I call Ford a few days ago and they said it’s “clean” and not scheduled yet, and to check with my dealer.
