Can anyone provide any part numbers for Blendmounts that would work with a Uniden R8 in the RR, along with possibly something to hold a Vantrue N4 Pro dashcam?
Did mine last weekend. Uniden R8.

PN # BR7-5014

Mirror tap and mount all installed in under an hour.

I was going to do the blackvue combo posted in this thread, but I ended up with a Viofo A329. How is everyone managing routing the rear channel? down the Driver/Passanger A-pillar across the floor/door sills and up behind the C-pillar?

I see to tap into fuse 28 for switched, but is there a fuse for constant power to use parking mode? Or does anyone have a battery they reccomend?

I have an SSD ready for mine, so I think I'd need to go down the drivers A-pillar for fused power, and down the passenger A pillar to mount the SSD in the glove box. Going to be a longggg process.

Got my Blendmount today and installed everything using one of my old mirror taps. Took a while to get the mirror shroud off and had fun with the multimeter. Talk about cramped space.

I found 12v and ground on the drivers side wiring harness shown here (the gray harness, not what my finger looks like it's pointing at):

Unplug the harness and tap wires as follows: WHITE = 12v switched, BLACK/PURPLE STRIPE = Ground.

Plug harness back in, put shroud back in place, install mirror mount (or use suction cup thingy) and enjoy noisy alerts when LEO's shoot radar guns at you unless you're in Mississippi, Virginia, or military bases.

Not sure what I'm going to do for a dash cam. There's no way 2 mirror mounts will fit.
Thank you for posting! I just got my ranger raptor a few days ago and, with your guidance, got my radar detector wire tapped, blendmount installed, and put back together in 10 minutes. Much appriciated!

If it still helps, that USB tap + Radar detector tap thing went together like this - see attached pictures. I intentionally let the radar tap connector hang outside the shroud so I could swap detectors if I needed to (my Uniden and Radenso use different connectors).

Are you able to flip your visor down and not have it interfere with your radar detector?

I have a Uniden R7 that I'd like to tap, but a blendmount would likely interfere with my Comma 3X. Moving it way up like this could make sense if it fit

Yes. The visor doesn't interfere

Instead of taping into existing plug couldn't you tap into the wire itself? Just curious if that would work

It would work but it's pretty easy to slide the tap into the plug. Took me 10 minutes to take mirror shroud apart and hook up my dashcam. Used a small drill bit to make a opening between windshield and shroud to run the cable from dashcam

I was able to to successfully modify the Dongar 5-Pin Type F connector to work with my Ranger Raptor.

Their adapter has an outer alignment fin on the bottom of both sides of the male connector along with a center alignment fin. In comparison to the gray 5 pin connector located behind the center rearview mirror, I noticed the center alignment fin was offset to the right by almost a full slot. The rest of the connector appeared to line up correctly. So I modified the male and female connectors as show in the photos below.
*Credit goes to @jrRaptor for the pic of where the connector is behind the mirror.*

Note: the male end of the Dongar adapter actually locks into the factory harness after being modified. However, the factory male end does NOT lock into the female end of the adapter. (The locking tab appears to be slightly to far back.) I remedied this by wrapping it with a piece of electrical tape. (But may end up covering it with a piece of heatshrink for added security.)

Factory 5 pin connector located here.

I also did the same thing with the Dongar 5-pin. Worth noting that it cuts power if your auto start/stop engages. I turn off ASS with my R button on every startup so not a big deal. If you need constant power I think you will need to look at a fuse tap instead.

What size tap and wire size did you use? Thanks for your time and trouble I appreciate it

Yeah, thats what I have in my car now, a blendmount and mirror tap. I was hoping someone who has done this in a Ranger could post pics of where to tap by the mirror. How the housing comes apart etc.
I've got the same question. I'll move my radar detector over then add a dash cam on the other side.

i am wondering if the wire we are tapping into can support both a radar detector and a camera? I am perfectly fine with a radar detector shutting down after the truck is off a while, that is how i had my 2019 wired in however i really want the ability to have my dash cam power up automatically when motion or an impact occurs when its parked and off. i dont wanna drain the battery but it would be a nice extra protection plus i only wanna take the mirror cover off once if at all possible.

I ended up doing the blendmount again and running a mirror tap for my RD. However, I still hardwired my dashcam to the fuse box. I dont think it's wise to run both off one fuse.
