2024 Lariat - my key FOB has gone MIA on me - is there any way Ford can "beep" the FOB or at least tell you a general area where it is ?
Don't know if I set it on the truck and then drove off or lost it after I got home. :explode:

I don't know that they can do that. If you set it on the truck and lost it in transit wouldn't the truck have shut down since the fob was separated from the vehicle? I'm a fan of air tags on all my keys.

Kind of why I like the manual key on the 2024 XLT. No key, no go.
Hope you can locate it.
Confused like LLCCPA said.

No go without the FOB either. Your argument doesn’t hold water. Just a way to make you feel better having to use a key in 2025?

Truck wouldn't have shut off but there should be a warning on instrument panel that key fob is not present anymore/out of range.

You should have received a message that the fob was out of range. Then more messages until it sees the key. I put mine in a faraday bag after starting the truck would not shift out of park with screen saying key not detected. If you do this after you are in gear you get a chime with the same message. I heeded the warning so I am not sure what else stops working when key is not detected after vehicle is in gear.

So if I had set the key on the truck and drove off but I did not get a warning chime saying the FOB was no longer present, can I assume then that it must have gotten home with me and I set it down in the garage or house ?

Guess my point was the key is in the ignition and not floating around in the cab or left on top of the truck.
I can still remote start. Just can't drive away with out the key on the ignition.
I have driven many vehicles with FOB/push button.

Any chance it fell down the rabbit hole inside the truck somewhere?

That's right.

That's good news, it's somewhere, in your house

This is just a possibility, but could you have set it on the bedcover (if you have one) and it dropped in between the cab and front of the bed or maybe stuck between the tailgate and rear bumper bracket?

I say this because I have set my phone on the bed and left it there when I parked it at home. Dropped it in the driveway a few times while backing out. One time it stayed on the bed for 2 miles and one left turn. It fell off on a bumpy section of road and. Bounced into a ditch. Found it using find my phone on the PC then used my wife's phone to pin point it, scratched but unbroken. With all of the big brother overwatch I'm really surprised the fobs don't have a GPS sensor.

Not on the truck or I could start the truck.
Does anyone know if the chime and warning are fairly loud and persistent or just short and goes away quickly where maybe you wouldn't notice it ?

It has to be right by the cab or inside on my 19 lariat or I get the no key detected chime when I press start. I've left them on the bed cover and it won't start.
