On line search, for 2025 Ford Ranger 2.3L engine update after I read your post and this information came up. I almost order mine with the 2.7L V6 but after test driving both, I didn't notice a huge difference in performance, the 2.3 has plenty of power and torque, better fuel economy and now with PFI, for my needs, it's like music to my ears.

Thank you for posting this. Do you remember which site it was on? Was it a Ford site? The new engine IS much more responsive around town.

No problem, you are welcome. I copied and pasted from the website but don't remember which site was. I'll have to look up my search history.

The 2025 2.3 in the Ranger is definitely the new 2.3……per Ford workshop manual.

Im just happy they made this change. The new engine is with the new turbo and wastegate is much more responsive around town. Im wondering now if they changed the inside of the oil pan so you can use an oil extractor from the top.
