The Dyno numbers are interesting - at the wheel they seem to almost the same as the Aus spec truck Car Expert Tested which put out 274HP and 535NM at the wheels.

I guess the 277hp are not "at the wheels"
Otherwise It would mean around 330hp.

I will get mine in 1 month and my plan is to definitely don't stay on 290hp. 🙂

Power is listed on the engine. Measurement only on the rear drive because the dynamometer supports a maximum wheelbase of 320 cm.
ECU unfortunately not supported.

Autotuner sees the computer but does not support it.

That is sad- EU spec trucks make as much power in the engine as the rest of the world truck puts down at the wheels.

As mentioned I will get mine in June and will show it to my tuner. My plan is to go ~500hp in future (as I don't care about guaranty and tech inspection)
I am pretty sure he will find a way to tune it(he can tune everything 🙂)
But my question: how you think guys.. how many of you would be really ready to tune it cause of guaranty issues etc. And how much would it worth it for you.
Maybe I can ask him to prepare an "soft" software and tune it remotely.

my idea is that like the 100hp limitation for the motorcycles we had in france few years ago, the correct full power mapping was already in the original ecu, or at worst in an ecu from another country (usa autralia. ..)

in the best case it will be enough to make a hack on our ecu.. and in the most unfavorable case, find a full power ecu and extract its map to inject it into ours... I know, explained like that doesn't mean that this evening is simple, but I trust the ford mapping...

In addition, this 3.0L ecoboost engine is mounted on mustangs and broncos... I tell myself that there is already some hindsight...

Finally if we stay on Ford maps, there is more chance that the hack will go unnoticed...
especially since I took a 5-year warranty pack;)


I'm waiting to have mine to view the ecu and its references..

I am not a pro on car ecu but I have a good experience on motorcycle ecu :captain:..

I agree...
I would also prefer to have the OEM(392hp) map as base for future tuning.
The map of course will be different from Mustang (torque/rpm curve etc)
I guess we have to wait still the raptor arrives to US market as they will come a lot new ways to do something.
Till then we can make some smoothie tkm s 🙂

PS: 500hp is planned for later future (2024)

From 2021 Ford changed ECU encryption. I heard somewhere that 32 bit encryption was used - like in ATMs.

Interestingly, the Toyota Avensis 1 computer was deciphered after 17 years :( :( :(

yes i agree.. but actual computing capacity are not the same than 17 years ago... nowdays more capacity and better reverse engeneering ;)
be sure somebody will find quickly... if it is an elon musk padawan i hope you have money 🤣🤣🤣

Im pretty sure the European version is just tune down by decreasing the boost compare to Australian, South asia version. So you could get same number by doing your custom tune on MAP6 by implementing same boost map as a Australian version.

Here in Thailand JB4 on a Ranger raptor V6TT from 346WHP to 427WHP. I guess they use E85 their to avoid knock. see at 6minutes


427 WHP using a conservative 15% drivetrain loss would be 427/0.85= 502 Crank HP (engine horse power) and 650Nm

WHP = Wheel horse power
