Thanks for the review. I had already decided not to go, but now I don't have to wonder if I'll ever look back someday and regret not making the flight out.
As for the raptor, I've gotten 18.3 mpg so far. That's only with 951 on the odometer and a variety of driving conditions.
Doesn't bother me though. If I didn't work remote and that $77 tank of premium I bought over the memorial day weekend wasn't gonna last me almost a month, I'd have probably...
We paid MSRP. Our dealer did try putting in the $1000 rebate, fingers crossed we get a surprise check in the mail.
Our grand total was around $61k with the spray-in liner + taxes, registration/plate fees, etc.
I've only got 55 miles on my odometer, but I haven't noticed anything mechanical.
The plastic panel under the mirror seemed a little loose when my order first came in, but I think the dealer fixed that without me even having to say anything, because it's fine now. I've gone over this thing...
The sun is pretty directly on it in the picture. I went outside to do a quick sanity check... I'd say that those plastic pieces are not quite as dark as the trim to begin with, and the material is more reflective. The brighter / more direct the light, the more pronounced the difference is.
The rebate is not supposed to apply to raptor. My salesperson said he would "try anyway" so maybe we'll get a surprise check in the mail, but probably not.
I got the opportunity to check out my truck on Saturday before it was even ready to go.
The sight that greeted me when I picked up Monday evening.
Finally home safe and sound!
So here it is, after all this time. My truck search which began in late 2022 is officially OVER! I'm finally the...
You should qualify for the $1000 rebate.
But see what the bottom line is on the stock order. If the price works out close enough for you to stomach, might as well just go for it. How often were you gonna use the bed step, anyway?
I will reserve final judgement on the tablet screen for when I actually sit in the truck (hopefully very soon! I'm built and awaiting convoy delivery, no QC exceptions). Some good points all around...
And to the couple of guys taking shots at the thread... It should be okay for people to make...
@cc1999 have you tried this site? http://fordwindowsticker.com/
I don't even have a window sticker link on my tracker, even though it says "When you have a moment, tryout the link to your Window Sticker that is now available lower on the page."
I got my sticker through the above site though.
I think the giant ipad in the dash looks ridiculous, but that's just the way new vehicles are going.
I wish a supercab + 6ft bed option was available for the non-raptors.
Get rid of the stupid antenna please, somehow.
I am continuing to be patient - as this whole thing has been an exercise in patience.
But I agree with your sentiments. A lack of clear and honest communication from Ford has been my biggest complaint with the ordering process.
I'm excited that the wait is almost over, but when "next time"...
My small town dealer's been great, I have no reason to think anything is amiss, but I'll admit I WILL go nuts if I waited a year and a half for nothing.
My truck is also listed on the dealers website, but like others have said it doesn't have real pictures yet and it's surely automated.
I'll start bothering them once mine finally shows "Built" and see if it can get hidden or not.
Looking at inventories alone will be a lot of legwork. For example, my truck shows up on my dealers site even though I'm sure it's a retail order.
It may take awhile but especially outside of large metro areas the dealers should relax the ADMs when nobody is biting. It's a cool truck, but if...
I had asked my dealer to remove the bedliner, but it looks like that never actually happened.
It might say "Built" if I refresh the page 1000 more times.
