Love this build. My only complaint is portals cost too damn much 😂

Tbh, I don't like that build

1- Build costs is very high due to portals.
2- Ground clearance is great but takes a lot from what this truck is capable off, in terms of turning and maneuvering.
3- It will defiantly have body roll with that height.
4- I don't think these fenders will stand abuse even with that clearance, even with a good offset wheels they will rub, while bottoming out.

I would prefer a Prerunner build with bigger shock ,bypasses and bumps on all corners with 35's.
The extra cost of the portals will go into better refining the Prerunner build instead of putting it in the portals, its all about the details they say.
Good build though, no hating but it's not my type of build at all.

It’s a cool build, but I like Quinn’s truck better with the GFC. Without the camper, the tires don’t look proportional IMO.

I got my Ranger Raptor back in April. I’ve had a couple Raptor Rs and have owned every generation Raptor. The Ranger Raptor is a great buy at sticker. But I couldn’t imagine having $100k tied up into it. The comfort and practicality of a R for daily driving and off-roading is just better than the Ranger Raptor IMO. So kudos to you for investing the money and time into this build.

Cool content and thanks for documenting the build. I think the portal builds will have a lot of demand over seas.

Love the way this turned out. The look of this truck on 37" tires looks awesome.

Thanks for sharing - it's a great build. Not something I'd ever need for situations I plan to encounter offroad, but I'm all for quality builds that show what this platform is capable of since there is a demographic that want to utilize their RRs for this kind of fun.

When I first saw Quinn's video with those Methods in raw form my brain went straight to imagining them anodized different colors - the matte/satin black and gold theme you did is fantastic! Also like the exhaust reroute with the tips coming through the bumper. Functional and cool!

I agree, the RR is all about the super sophisticated high speed desert runner suspension. If you're going to go through and replace everything why not start with an FX4? Its my theory if you need that much clearance you probably need a Wrangler or a Bronco.

Did you even watch the video to understand that we did NOT replace everything, particularly the suspension? If you ever run one of these hard enough you’ll know exactly why you need that much clearance. I’ve spent a lot of time putting platforms like this and Bronco in the air and I’ve smashed the lower pivot mounts into ground a lot. Even with the added 3.88” of clearance below, it’s still close. Not to mention the added stability of the wider stance. The truck is so much better with the portals than without.

I like options, I don't have a problem with this kit being put on the market. Its not for me. I'm not into anything that extreme. I'm just planning on a two inch suspension lift and 33" tires, just plan on overlanding.

Looking for a wheel manufacturer that can make 20" wheels with a + 135 offset.

Then the wheel would fit over and around the portal, and be close to OEM width. (and scrub radius)

Once these are available, I'll probably buy the portals.
