Anyone else's wireless charging pad seem to barely function? I can drive for over an hour with my phone sitting on the charger the entire time and the battery has gotten lower vs charged more. Plugging it in, it charges just fine.

Only issue is making calls when it's on the charger. I get static until I pull the phone out, switch to speakerphone, then switch back. It's consistent enough to know that the wireless charger is the culprit. Not sure if it's the truck or would happen on any charger, but it's the only issue I have so I keep the usb handy just in case I'm expecting an important call.

If your phone is in a case you might want to try without the case. I've read where some cases will interfere with wireless charging - just a long shot guess - might be worth a try to see. Good Luck

You have to move it around a bit on the wireless pad until you find the right spot - then it works perfectly for charging. Note - this wireless charger will heat up your iPhone quickly causing it to shut down like when you leave your phone out in the sun for to long.

I was excited for the wireless charger but am disappointed in the performance. It’s not worth the effort of finding the sweet spot and then making sure the phone stays exactly in that spot.

No problem here. Just throw the phone into the slot and forget. Might be a phone or case specific issue. Got a ASUS Zenfone 10 here, thin plastic case. Wife's Samsung S24+ works fine as well.

The charger in my 2020 F250 Tremor does that same thing. Just keeps it from running down faster and gets hotter than Hades doing it.

Wireless charging is inferior and pointless, if you want efficient charging just plug in, wireless charging essentially maintains charge and puts the phone in a useless place. It’s technology that sounds good but honestly is worthless unless you are in a pinch and forget to bring a charging cable.

I have yet to find any wireless charging pad, from any manufacturer, that actually charges a phone instead of just making it very hot. I still connect my phone wired even when I have Qi pads.

Is there a dedicated fuse to just the wireless charging pad? If so, I'd love to just pull it and kill the functionality.
Fuse #3 according to the manual, doesn't list anything else shared. I had my dash cam tapped into that fuse but changed it. Fuse #3 always has power but the wireless charger only works with key on.

I don't understand how "modern" wireless charging can work so poorly considering the technology has been around for 14-15ish years now. I actually use my wireless Microsoft charging pad (from my old Windows phone that I got 12 years ago) to charge my iPhone 12 Pro and it is flawless and never heats up!

I use my charging stand at night to charge my phone and it works great. For some reason, automobile manufacturers can't figure it out.

Oem is actually 15w. Guess the biggest issue is keeping the phone in the exact spot the whole time. Amazon sells magsafe rings to attach to the charge that may help the ones with magsafe. Issue is also penetrating a phone case.
