I answered my own question and got the verification from J&L. The orientation of the battery is a little different from the Braptor to the RR. It does appear that it is a bit longer distance from the mounting point in my RR as it is in the Braptor.

here's one mounted in a Braptor:

And here is a pic of my Ranger Raptor's bay with the arrow pointing to where the same mounting point is located that J&L used for the Braptor:

Just want to mention a little real-world experience I've had with catch cans.

I have a 2016 GT350 and installed a UPR can on it the day I drove it home. The can mounts in a gap on the passenger side right up front. It gets bathed with fresh air coming through the front of the car, so it runs cool all the time. As such, it catches a LOT of vapors in the oil and needs to be dumped quite frequently.

I actually received two of these when I ordered, so dug the other one out and mounted in in my Raptor's engine bay just behind the radiator where it stays hot from the wash of the fan pulling air through the radiator. (This mounting location was chosen because it worked with the length of the hoses.) It almost never has anything in it during the summer, and even over the winter when temps were cooler, there was very little in it.

My point is this: catch cans need cool air to work efficiently. I'm sure the mounting locations that aren't where mine is work better than mine does, but even those are going to get pretty warm behind the battery or other areas that aren't cooled with outside air. I'm working on a solution for my "free" can to try to either move it to a cooler location or isolate it from the hot air from the radiator.

Another plus with ordering a catch can/separator, it's one of those things that just installs in a snap. Nice to have something go in without a problem once in a while. Also nice that the way that the UPR system mounts allowed me to go right over top of the cutoff switch for my winch.

I also went with the UPR dual valve OCC. Other than the CSS, the installation was a breeze.
