Buying a new truck got me 31,000 MyFord points. There was also 20% off accessories sale going on. I paid like $50 out of my pocket for the Passenger Side Pivot Storage Box. Instal manual said it could be installed with a drop-in bed liner and yeah...kind of? Had to cut out a section with an oscillating multi-tool for it to lay flat, and the main bracket was a pain to get on due to the bracket being a hard right angle being pushed into a curved right angle corner. It basically has to dig into the plastic bed liner, and even then the fit isn't perfect. The bed liner and the pivot case are both genuine Ford parts, so seems like the teams designing each didn't communicate on everything needed to accommodate the brackets. Overall, I'm pleased with this pivoting case!

Thanks for the post.
Can this case be easily removed and replaced, leaving bracket in place? I have a spray in liner and thought about this case but have occasions when I need all the bed space.

Yes. It comes out very easy.

My install issue was removing the tie down bracket bolts. One head broke off leaving the bolt in the hole. Still trying to figure out how to get that out.

Nice box you got there, I bought the same one because I thought the 20% was special, I checked the day after and there’s a 15% discount up.

Yes! It slides right up and off the hinge. Also comes with a hinge lock to prevent the case from being lifted off the hinge (anti-theft measure).

It was 15% off the month of March, and then the final week of March they upped it to 20%. I thought that was too good a deal to pass up.

Seems like the bolts for the tie downs were over-torqued from the factory. The install manual for the swing case says to re-torque the tie down bolts to factory spec which is 125 ft lbs!! That's absolutely insane especially for a T40 head IMO. I rounded out one of my bolts slightly and was like nah I'm not torquing this to 125 ft lbs.

Has anyone seen a generic version of this for sale for the 2024+ yet? They are normally half the price of the branded version.

Agree with all above. Neat design to be out of the way and holds a good deal of stuff

We had issues getting the tie down bolts out also. Stripped 2 of them and had to buy 2 new ones. Then ran into the issue (see picture) with the soft tri fold factory cover....the handle hits the box. The only way to pull the handle down on the cover is to move the box out first. Not a very good design on Ford's end. Thinking about cutting the handle down.....but then maybe it will be too difficult to pull down to open the cover. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you cut the handle short, drill a hole and tie a rope loop through it. That'll give you the leverage to pull it down, but soft enough to bend out of the way.
