As many others have experienced, my truck entered production in February and was “built” on 3/30. Then the truck fell of a map and the dealer couldn’t get any information on it. It randomly showed up Friday night without any warning. I ordered it the day the order banks opened. So it’s been well over 400 days at this point. Not my first rodeo as this will be my 10th Raptor that I have owned since the Gen 1 Raptor first came out. I told the dealer that I wanted to know what happened to the truck. I have orders in with other dealers, so I am tempted to pass on this one.

@yoopercharged have you had any issues with your truck? I am paranoid that something happened to the truck lol. Just doesn’t make sense why it would sit for 4 months after production if there wasn’t something wrong with it. These trucks haven’t been on chip hold, so it had to be some type of QC hold.

I am curious if they will still give me the $1k rebate too. Decisions decisions…

The rebate is only on early special orders and customer who made the order, not stock orders
I lost my order rebate by buying a stock truck.
I was informed by dealer before I made the move from my special order.
45 days after my purchase my special order shipped and could have hale damage besides the acid rain etching and rust under the vehicle from sitting 166 days in the lot.
The way I see it I never had the rebate unless I purchased that vehicle.
With all that could be wrong after so long I most likely would have walked away anyway.

No major issues with mine. A few little visual things (bubbles in A pillar vinyl, spatter on running board, tailgate misalignment) but the truck feels really solid.
