I have these fog lights and the new brackets and they fit extremely securely and I haven't noticed any shaking or movement of the lights on any of the roads or trails i have taken it on. As for the high beam / low beam issue, you could trim the wiring harness and just connect the plug straight to the low beam wiring and take out the switch, i think i am going to do that. And the comment that if you turn them off and then back on, it will be in high beam is only true if you do it within a second or two. If you have them in low beam mode and turn them off and wait 3-4 seconds, when you turn them back on they will still be in low beam.
The high beam headlights do turn the fog lights off when they are on and if they only flash on and off it will put the fogs into high beam mode, that is a bummer but there is a forscan fix that keeps the fogs on with the high beams from what i have read so if you are savvy with forscan you could update that. Overall, i think they fog lights are pretty awesome and they are SUPER bright... not great for roads with lots of ups and downs as you will be shining some bright lights into oncoming traffic when you are nose up and they are below the line of the fogs, but in that case, just switch them off till you are on a flat section or by yourself.
Cheers. As with anything, no solutions will work for everyone but i personally have had great experience with the new brackets and the function of the fog lights overall once i got them adjusted to the correct angle.
