Iām sure they are as I noticed a huge difference in seats just from the XLT I test drove to the Lariat I sat in. Obviously I expected cloth vs leather. What I didnāt expect was the cloth seat to feel smaller & less substantial than the leather one. So Iām sure the Raptor is better yet again over the Lariat.I wonder if the Raptor seats are different than other trim levels? I have a bad back and my RR seats are comfy as hell.
I felt that also. The distance between the bolsters on the bottom is narrower on the XLT than the Lariat if you measure them.Iām sure they are as I noticed a huge difference in seats just from the XLT I test drove to the Lariat I sat in. I did the same with the cushion, although not liking that i sit a bit higher as now my legs are higher up on the side bolsters it's a bit annoying.Iām currently sitting on a cushion I purchased from Amazon. I took it to the dealership and they were absolutely no help. Supposedly they submitted a ticket with Ford.
Ah so it is for real then & not just my interpretation. It always amazes me how even a half inch, if thatās the scale of difference weāre talking, can make a difference.I felt that also. The distance between the bolsters on the bottom is narrower on the XLT than the Lariat if you measure them.
anecdotal evidence suggest a foam problem. Mine has the same issue. The foam fails and becomes pancaked. Basically, your sitting in a hole. Ford, I am sure, is aware of it, but is playing the "If we just don't say anything" game. I'm gonna take mine back under warranty when i get a chance. Depends on your foam if you're affected or not i guess.Boy, this is a perfect example of different preferences for different people. I find my XLT seat to be very comfortable. Go figure...
I added a sheet of 1/16" thick plastic between the cushion and suspension mat. I immediately felt more support; however, I haven't driven for any extensive amount of time.Iām experiencing a similar issue with my Lariat. There isnāt enough support at the rear of the cushion, and the sinking causes my butt to go numb if I drive for more than 30 minutes. If you reach underneath the passenger seat, you can feel a thin piece of plastic sitting on top of the mat, providing extra support. My current solution is to find a similar piece of plastic and install it on the driverās side. Iām hoping that adding this extra support will stiffen the seat and prevent the sinking.
Link to the plastic?? Please.I added a sheet of 1/16" thick plastic between the cushion and suspension mat. I immediately felt more support; however, I haven't driven for any extensive amount of time.

Purchased a 2' x 4' sheet from Industrial Paints and Plastics for $24.99 and cut it to size. Only a 12" x 12" piece is needed.Link to the plastic?? Please.
You want to sell a piece? Oh you are in Canada. Never mind. Im on their site. What kind of plastic is it? They have a lot of different ones.Purchased a 2' x 4' sheet from Industrial Paints and Plastics for $24.99 and cut it to size. Only a 12" x 12" piece is needed.
I just looked under my 2025 seats. Its really weird that they have the plastic on the passenger side but not the drivers side for support? WTF?You want to sell a piece? Oh you are in Canada. Never mind. Im on their site. What kind of plastic is it? They have a lot of different ones.
So the foam was just sitting on the springs, w/o and liner, stock?I added a sheet of 1/16" thick plastic between the cushion and suspension mat. I immediately felt more support; however, I haven't driven for any extensive amount of time.
