Ford must have found inspiration from the old Bose Wave radios from the 80's
I am thinking of making a adapter ring to mount a KICKER 6.75 sub woofer .

The Kicker LOC you ordered is for the round BO system? This is the sub enclosure

this is the sub I got and it fits and sounds fantastic

This is the plug and play adapter, no cutting into wires and comes tuned and set with the kicker keyloc. I picked the option to get rid of the factory bass roll off.

As for the amp, you can pick any brand you want, if you’re only adding the sub you will need a mono amp with a RMS of 600 watts. The kicker amp I used has is a 800w amp which pushes this sub perfectly. But I’ll attach the link to the amp I used, I like this amp because it has a Bluetooth bass knob so you don’t have to run a remote wire.
I had it installed at a custom stereo shop, they were ranting about the ease of the install with that harness and the quality and sound of the system

Do you happen to know the volume of the sub box? I was looking online to try to find that info to match a sub, but couldn't find anything...This is the sub enclosure

I inquired with the seller of these enclosures, and this is what they said:Do you happen to know the volume of the sub box? I was looking online to try to find that info to match a sub, but couldn't find anything...
pretty small. I’ll be curious to see which subs get used. I’m thinking the Kicker CompRT would work well at a good value. Otherwise spending twice as much to get the JL TW3 or Hertz MPS 250 (like RRaptor24 did here). The Rockford Fosgate options out there look to want more volume.I inquired with the seller of these enclosures, and this is what they said:
"Hey mate needs to be a shallow 10" as there is only 10.5liters volume. Also be careful what sub as the outer rim of the sub cannot be larger than 272mm."
So .37 cubic feet and 10.7" max outer diameter of mounting flange.
I also was looking at the Focal shallow 10" sub as well (standard or flax) - both take min. .35 cubic feet sealed. I'm leaning towards the TW3 for dual voice coil.pretty small. I’m not sure the volume, but I will say that my Hertz Mill Pro 250 sounds amazingDo you happen to know the volume of the sub box? I was looking online to try to find that info to match a sub, but couldn't find anything...
