I don't get the need for vehicle to be loud.
If it's fast and has power I'd much rather not draw that attention to myself.
Def. don't like the Jerkoff's hitting it in residential areas late at night.
Waking me and the kids up. Like last night for instance.
Might be extra salty about it today.
I've thought about adding a couple of short magnaflows between the front resonators and the mufflers to maybe tone it down a bit. V6's just don't sound as good as straight 6's and v8's.

I see the website says that its 3" tubing, does anyone have a measurement of what the stock size is? I'd be interested in seeing if there's any performance gains to be had with the system since thats the main source of power difference between the RRaptor and the BRaptor (at least that's what Ford claims)
Stock/Factory RR exhaust is 2.5". Will be dyno testing within a couple weeks & will update.

I really doubt this is true - exhaust mods from cats back on turbo cars have very little HP impact. If you did downpipes and removed cats and then tuned, you’d see a difference…but catback, I doubt it.

I think Ford slightly detuned so Braptor had the higher figure…at the price premium, I get the business decision!
Factory 2.5" to Milltek 3", tuned, right at a 1/10 quicker 1/8th mile on dragy with similar da. Once the downpipes are on, yes it will make a much bigger difference.

Key there is “tuned” - without that, doubt cat back would do much vs stock. Modern OE performance exhaust systems are nothing like the old days, and increasing power on twin turbo cars like this is not as simple as simple reducing “back pressure” like on an N/A cars of the past. Insane tuning potential, that’s for sure…I see tuners on my M2 getting 60-100hp gains on tune with minimal supporting mods, that’s crazy and I’m sure huge potential exists here too.

Like I said before though, say bye bye to that warranty the minute you tune it, so Im gonna live her stock form (mostly) and see how she holds up. In time, aftermarket options will open up, and more research will be done on what stock supporting stock parts can “take” and what needs upgrading to handle added power. More tunes will also become available, and we’ll learn more about the big / costly “issues” with the truck that hopefully don’t arise during but if they do, during warranty period. All personal preference, have a blast it’s your truck and enjoy! I just personally feel like I want warranty protection until we know where the potential land mines are with a new redesign.

I don’t think it sounds bad. I just don’t think it sounds different enough for the increased cost of a new exhaust
đź’Ż.
This is a personal taste mod. Not load enough for me. I can't have my Focus RS with AWE be louder than my truck. :)

Exhaust sound preference is so subjective. I know I'm going to be struggling to enjoy it once I get behind the wheel of my RR... will be parting ways with my 6.4L NA Hemi with 3" SS resonated exhaust that has a full throaty tone and is bliss at WOT.

So very true.

I let my TRX go a month or so ago.

The RR really fits my needs of this vehicle in its size and function much better than the TRX ever could for me.

But the sound of that supercharged Hemi is truly missed.

I know I would place an order tomorrow if Ford ever offered even a simple 5.0L NA V8 engine in a RR.

I really have no doubt the real-world efficiency and performance of a 5.0L NA would equal that of this 3.0L turbo V6 and I know I could get that 5.0L v8 in a RR to sound oh so nice.

The SC 6.2 Hemi has a lovely tone for sure! I'm right there with you... if the Coyote 5.0 was an option in a Ranger Raptor I'd jump at the chance to have that combo, and the RR size is perfect for me too.

Yes, you're correct Milltek put a year into this one. What aftermarket parts are you referring to? I already have CAI, BOV, Charge pipes, Turbo back exhaust, Intercooler, HPFP, Bigger injectors, Bigger Turbos, Catch can, Trans Cooler, Trans upgrade, etc. Every bolt on performance related part I can think of. I've not went internal yet, but there is already parts for that too. Warranty, I usually void mine before I leave the dealership.
You have all that done in the first few months of ownership in the US? I didn’t even know there were upgraded turbo kits out there in the Us.

On my Gray one, yes.
I’m limited by NDA’s, but yes a major company has prototyped with us. We should have everything released to the public before SEMA. I’d have more done but I’ve been busy with @NPTR educating me on how turbos work, tuning, warranty, aftermarket, what these trucks can handle, etc. I’m learning so much. It helped me figure out a completely stock RR running e85 can make 471 rwhp & almost 500ftlb torque. ESSIM actually read e78. Fueling for 700rwhp

Don’t take it personally man, more power to you (literally)! Most guys are on here thus far are looking to make some moderate tweaks to make their trucks more capable machines while also maintaining factory warranties…and that’s where my input came from. Had I known you were building a monster, and were happy tearing up the warranty, I would have kept my comments to myself! Just a different use case, and I didn’t know that. My truck is my “do everything” daily, and I have my 350R and M2 for track day tuning. You’re building a beast, and I completely respect that. Enjoy, and thanks for being one of the early adopters we can all learn from along the way. No negativity or “schooling” was meant by my commentary, all came from a good place. Enjoy and keep us posted, looking forward to hearing all about the build.

I take it you've never heard an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio 2.9 V6 twin Turbo at full boil.

Milltek makes quality stuff...
Truthfully, they’re overpriced. Last thing to change would be an exhaust. No appreciable whp gains.👍🇺🇸

Absolutely agree, there’s no appreciable whp gains and spending $2.7 K on an exhaust, is a bit pricey when the money can go elsewhere and provided whp gains.👍🇺🇸
