MY24 pushed to MY25

Longtime follower, first time poster..
Recently(5/3/24) put an order on a MY24 RR with a priority 19. Added mud flaps and SIBL. Order is still being processed. Received an email at Day 45, but nothing in or after Day 90.
Question here is: Will Ford push a MY24 to a MY25? Or just cancel the order? I understand that some folks have been waiting ages. Dealer placed my order and a stock order on same day and stock truck arrived 3 weeks later

Deja vu...you must be my brother from another mother...also placed my order on 5/3, got confirmation, another email at the 45-day mark saying they will reach out again "within" 45 days and assuming next week I'll get the next fly by email. With Bronco orders they had customer come in and put in order for 2025 if it pushed to the next model year. I would imagine same thing for Ranger.

Order banks closed the beginning of August. Right now the next wave of production for the Raptors is September. Most of those should already be scheduled, so if you didnt get a build date, then you have to wait for the balance out to see how many more they are going to make for theyear. Did you ask your dealer if they have an allocation? A priority 19, you are getting done dirty by the dealer. The priority code is arbitrary for your dealer and they normally do 10-19 for Retail orders. Ford pulls orders by using those. So all Raptors 10-18 will get built before yours.

If your dealer never had an allocation, itll never get made. If they did have an allocation, them giving you a 19 instead of 10 would be the issue here. You should call them ask them to change it (they can change it at anytime) as you are worried it wont get made this year. To get something higher then 10, the regional manager has to assign it, someone of those are reserved for things like damaged in transit type things.

If you chose the beadlock wheel, that wheel is currently limited on stock as well. They will do a balance out for how many more raptors they are going to make this year soon. December is basically a shutdown. 25 Raptors will be announced at the end of August. From my understanding Ford is no longer offering private offers for carrying over, but I could be wrong there. Last I understood from some podcasts were that there was 600ish pending raptor orders in the bank.

Only way that would of arrived in 3 weeks, was if they had already ordered it months before hand and that person just took what they ordered. In an absolute best case it takes about 6-9 weeks to Make, produce, ship the car.

Very interesting. Salesman said both ordered on the same day and he himself couldn’t believe that it arrived so quickly.

Not true. They have full control of setting the priority 10-19. See the screenshot below. This information came from a dealers podcast.

Need to go around the sales guy and find out who actually inputs the orders and talk to that person. Most places I have dealt with, it is the sales manager.

You are going to need to do some leg work then. With a priority 19, you have a high chance it will not get built and Ford is being inconsistent on private offers for those who ordered and didnt get built. You need to ask them to make it a priority 10. If they wont you should walk, and find one in stock at a dealer or wait for a 25. orders are closed for 24 currently.

Well, you have been given the info that the priority can be changed. It is up to you what you do with it.

I will say that sometimes in life to get what you want, you have to push people and that sometimes mean pissing them off by either making them get off their lazy butts or hurting their ego's that they are wrong and to correct it.

Dealer Salesmen are just glorified key retrievers for the test drive and the finance guy secretary for the paperwork setup. 80% of the deal is done by the sales manager and finance. So do not just accept what a salesman says as final or correct because many times it is not.

I heard they’re supposed to announce the 25 later this month? Any validity to that?

I wouldn’t mind a few minor changes but I doubt they’ll do much other than giving a few extra colors, etc. I want to see a 60/40 split for the back seats, ac cooled seats and possibly a sunroof although that’s not my top concern

The new Dealer Priority assignments are 3-19, the lower the better from a Dealer Priority perspective, however that means nothing to Ford on their assembly line production
