I don't know if people are taking the piss or not, but I appreciate the thoughts. If I end up bringing the truck to a dealer for something else I will bring it up to them.

I may pull the APIM and see if I can 3D print a support for the dashboard on that area.
From your video I'm wondering if you can stick a dowel through the glove box area up to support that mount point enough to snap in the panel and see if that stays seated?

OP this issue is not present on the Thai built RHD trucks I have and have seen .
wondering if it’s an issue with US LHD dash builds .

" The real cost difference is the engine ". Remember, reading comprehension is your friend. As far as all the rest you mentioned, mostly the cost of a little extra steel.
Have you ever priced out any of the above? A posi-trac rear end was over $800 to build 15 years ago. Build, as in get the parts and assemble it yourself. If you think any of these things only add up to a couple grand difference in price you're nuts. So take your reading comprehension bs and flush it.

I'll try again. An XLT comes with a rear end right? So when they put a rear end in a Raptor you don't add the entire cost of the rear end as an added expense to the cost of a Raptor. You only add the difference in MANUFACTURING COSTS between the manufacturing cost of an XLT rear end and the manufacturing cost of the Raptor rear end. Not the total cost or what it would cost you to buy all the parts at retail. Maybe you've heard, retail prices for OEM parts are astronomically higher than the actual cost to manufacture and assemble on an assembly line. And, what you missed, as I stated above, that $2k was just "a simplistic exaggeration to make a condensed point". Meaning it was not an accurate calculation. So don't dwell on it, it's irrelevant, you'll just miss the point.

It sounds like you're trolling to me. If you don't want a raptor for what ever reason then don't buy one. But jumping in here and trolling this thread seems to show a lack of class. Also the suspension is by far the biggest factor in the price not the engine.
