Decided to go with the Superlift 2.5 inch Leveling Kit. Then decided that the Black Rhino Warlord wheels in gunmetal were appropriate with the Falcon 285 70 17’s… think she came out sweet..

Mostly aesthetics.. however better traction in rain and snow with a little added clearance
As for aesthetics, yours is the only opinion that matters about your truck. But as for better traction in rain and snow, I think all of the objective reviews I've seen or read say that there is a slight or marginal improvement with *narrower* tires than wider tires, but the difference is slight. I think the benefit of wider tires is even more pronounced in deeper snow, water, or mud as the narrower tire can cut through the depth better and puts more weight per square inch to the ground for traction. Hence the popularity of "pizza cutter" tires for folks who venture into that stuff a lot.

Sounds to me that you will be better off keeping the small thin tires you're Ranger came with... ENJOY

Dude….. buy what you want … I DID !
I did, but shared the video for others who mistakenly believe that a wider tire offers better traction in rain or snow. The video is interesting because it shows that the narrower tire actually has a larger contact patch than the wider tire at different air pressures which seems counter-intuitive to me.

Looks good. Nice wheels, can you share what offset you have? 17x9’s?
