Is this how your light beam pattern looks with a Lariat? The circled area is only about 15 feet in front of my truck. Foglights are off. This seems to be really short distance to me. I have to say that I am disappointed in the headlamps compared to my former '19 Lariat.

You’re seeing the brights down low.
designed that way and you can see it by getting out to look or shine into store windows at night
The lariat headlights are fairly decent. Take it on a dark road and compare it to *most street legal lighting and yep, they are dang good!

Hopefully it is attached. I am having issues getting image to load. The circled area is where the light intensity is much stronger. Never seen this in a vehicle before.

Have you driven with LED headlights before? If the beam pattern was much higher, oncoming traffic wouldn't be happy. It looks like the beam is concentrated down and beyond that brick mailbox, which looks like ~50ft or more. 👍

There are some, Toyotas, that I feel are a tad too high. I get flashed sometimes with my low beams on in my 2024 Highlander. Haven't adjusted them yet.

Again, look at the light a couple feet up the trees. That is your low beam LED and looks bright to me. The brighter area by close to the truck is your high beams (yes they are on with the lows and many new rides including exotic rides use them) its meant to do exactly what you see to give you better lighting and not blind oncoming vehicles.
After market blinding lights are brighter? yes but not street legal.

I have had LED headlamps on vehicles for about 10 years now. They are not new to me.

Best answer! So, the high beams are on all the time, just tilted straight down basically? Try finding this in the manual. lol! I wonder if I can turn this off in Forscan? I find it distracting actually. I will say that I love the adaptive feature overall, especially when going around curves.

A follow-up. Last night I left the office really late, so it was very dark when I left. Live in the suburbs, but just past my house the area is semi-rural and has very few streetlights. I drove a loop to see how well these lights work. I love the adaptive as far as curves goes. The theory that the bright spot I am seeing is from the high beams being on all the time is not correct though. I was able to use my high beams last night and that bright spot right in front of my truck is still present. I have found a couple of videos of other owners of Lariat models and they have this as well. It is really odd. Maybe this is because the low beams are the lower lamp, which is also a bit unusual. I have had stacked headlamps before, and the low beam was always the upper light. I assume I will just have to get used to it, but at present it is distracting to say the least. My '19 lariat led's had a nice and very even light pattern on the road, no hot spots like this. I have only owned this truck about 2 weeks, so I am still learning some of its characteristics. I must say that the difference between my old Gen 5 and this new Gen 6 are significant.
