Had both the Gen1 and Gen2 Ranger Raptors, both came with the same BFGs, swapped them out for the General Grabbers on the first one and it just changed the whole truck. Drove like an SUV instead, some noticeable MPG Gains as well. Will be going with the Grabbers again when these BFGs burnout on my new one
That's interesting on the MPG gain, isn't the Grabbers in general (no pun intended) a heavier tire than the BFG KO line which are typically very light in their size class?

From memory (this could be completely made up from how bad my memory is), but the Grabbers are like a 2 Ply and the BFGs a 3 ply I read somewhere? The Gen 1 RRs in the UK were 2.0L Turbo Diesels, couldn’t get away from anything, but you could tell the difference in how much better it felt on the Grabbers. Also I never got stuck with the Grabbers and it got taken off road plenty. The MPG gains I imagine had something to do with the tread more than anything else, honestly couldn’t recommend the Grabbers enough. For reference I tend to cover around 30-40k miles a year, so have had plenty of tarmac time with both.

Interesting. I have Ridge Grapplers on my wrangler and they're the best tire I've ever had. I've had a couple sets in 35" and 37" and I think they and the Wildpeak AT3Ws are the best I've seen.
It might just be an aluminum body thing very light in the back on the trucks. I never broke traction with the front.

Hello,
Iva done about 7k on my ranger raptor now and have not experienced any real issues until we got some light rain and snow these past weeks and the truck felt incredibly out of control. I will say I drive it pretty hard and like to have some fun when I drive plus have switched out for a +25 offset wheel even though that should not make any difference at all. With those things in mind I was curious if anyone noticed the same with the ko3s. It was mainly an issue where the back would literally just loose itself in a not so sharp curve even (going slightly quick but nothing crazy) and in sharp quick curves the front literally glides forward like incredible understeer before making any attempt to go the direction of the wheel. Anyone have similar issue and what tire do you recommend?
Thank you
yes the KO2/3 are bad in those conditions. same complaints in the 4runner world I was in.
