Quick question for anyone able to give it a try. I don't think this has anything to do with my issues, but it's just something I noticed and was curious if it was normal since I have nothing to compare it to right now.

Does your rear end suspension compress and bounce evenly? If you push down in the middle of the tailgate/bumper, do both sides compress at the same rate? And if you bounce it up and down, does the rear travel evenly, or does the whole truck wobble? It might be easier to stand on the middle of the bumper and bounce.

I noticed jumping out of the bed that the trucked wobbled around instead of traveling just up and down. So I pushed down on center of the opened tailgate a few times and the left side suspension seems to compress quicker than the right, as if the right side is stiffer. I then stood on the middle of the bumper and bounced the rear up and down, and it immediately wobbles. I can't remember how the last truck rear end I did that with felt, and not sure if this is a characteristic of this suspension system, or something else. I'm pretty sure the fuel tank can have an impact on this, but mine's sitting at just over a quarter of a tank, so not sure how much this matters.

I have a lot of acreage in Kentucky and when I drive mine off road, you can definitely feel the different suspension settings. On road, you will not feel the differences as much other than sport being stiffer with less body roll.

Mine idles very smooth, however I noticed the “rough” ride in the sense that it’s not a completely smooth and “unfeelable” ride on the road, but to me that’s just a truck.

I also came from a 22 frontier pro-x so I chalked it up to the much more aggressive tires and the more gears the truck is searching for while driving. Again, not bad to me at all but definitely a different feeling than the frontier. My RR also has 200 miles on it so for mine I think there’s still a break in period

I just went to test my key on the glovebox. It wouldn’t turn and lock so I was like crap, mine doesn’t work either. Decided to use a little more force when turning the key and it popped and then turned and locked. Now it is working but a little rough. I think the tumblers in the cylinder are just a little rough and need to be worn in.

Also had restraint warning on drivers knee airbag. Called dealer and they said sometimes the battery is low from not letting people drive the Raptors and after a bit of driving the light will go off. I also wiggled the connectors to make sure it was seated so don’t know what actually fixed mine. Messing with the connector or the driving and charging the battery. The driving was about 150 miles..

I haven't checked the shock rebound but I will tomorrow. I have noticed the rough ride and posted about it. (https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/vibration-at-highway-speeds.12109/)

There's a video showing the issue. I've had a gen 2 f150 raptor and a ram rebel and they rode great on-rode. The ranger raptor has a constant vibration. I took it to the dealership 2 weeks ago and the dealership replaced the front passage tire and said it was fixed. It still has the issue.

I have a second appointment with a different dealership. The first dealership put a very small dent in my door and lost one of my chrome valve stem covers. Also, they no longer answer the phone. I got ford involved and even ford customer support can't get through to the service department.

This gave me some confidence to turn the key harder while trying not to break it. And it worked! Thanks. Took a scary amount of force. But now my glove box locks, though it's still difficult to turn.

Wonder where I'd find the passenger side air curtain connectors to check connections... 🤔

I've read several complaints about this all over the internet. Some have been due to difficult-to-balance KO3s that never get right (alternatively, a bad wheel). Another user fixed their issue with a propeller shaft replacement. Someone else had a single bad shock from factory. Hopefully, if this dealership is competent enough, I'll have some answers... or at least be able to rule some things out.

Eesh... I'd keep pressure on Ford for a resolution. You might even want to send the dealership your complaints via certified mail. This sucks, and is probably up there in the top 3 of customer's biggest fears with their vehicle maintenance.

Happy to hear it worked for you.

Unfortunately I don’t know where the connectors are for the curtain airbag either. Hopefully someone on here with more technical info can help.

If you ever have issues with the infotainment just hold the bottom left (volume down) and bottom right (skip next) buttons and the screen will reboot.

5,500 miles on my RR, including 3 x 1,,000 mile trips. Build 1.24, delivery 4.22. My sense, and it's just me, is the suspension is set up for high-speed off road driving. Truck is smoother on the highway at 75-80 than slower and definitely rougher than expected at 20-30 on the 6 miles of gravel to my home. If I could ramp up the speed to 50-60 on the gravel I would just to see, but I can't because the road has too many curves, too close together.

Went to Ford's Assault Course and used all the modes at various times. Couldn't tell much difference in ride quality, but instructors indicated there is difference in anti-lock braking engagement and traction control. My butt couldn't tell but I'm just not that sensitive.

Your uneven rear shocks compression/rebound may indicate a bad shock. Suggest having a third party tire dealer balance your tires. The dealer's tire business is secondary to his main business.

Mine rides like any other off road vehicle I’ve had with off road tires. They are never smooth like or quiet like a highway tire.

  • Rough ride. It's like you're constantly running over cracks in the road, regardless of road type/quality. Feels like it's coming from the rear. Front end feels pretty smooth. I've had trucks with stock shocks that were rough in the rear, especially without weight, but it was just an amplification of road deformities (cracks, dips, etc). This feels like it's doing it on every surface type. Tire deformity? Just me? Here's a post that also seems to describe this: https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/thre...ularly-from-the-rear-tyres-out-of-round.8209/
I noticed this as well and it ended up being this:
  • Lane-Keeping Alert, which warns you through steering wheel vibrations that simulate driving over a rumble strip. You can set the system to activate either the Alert or Aid mode, or both.

  • It has a rough idle when sitting in park, even after warming up. It'll shudder intermittently and shake the passenger seat. It feels like it's trying to idle too low, or miss-firing. Sometimes it's subtle, sometimes it's worse. I don't hear anything at cold startup that may indicate cam phaser isssues... yet. This "normal?" - Upcoming appt. with dealership.
+1 for this issue. I have noticed it while sitting idle for more extended periods of time.

I measured both sides of the truck from center of wheel wells to the ground (and from the top of the tired to the center of wheel well) and they were spot on (almost full tank of gas). This was a couple of weeks ago. I just measured again after noticing the uneven compression/rebound, and it's a 1/2 inch lower on the driver's side now (with a little under a 1/4 tank of gas). I had my wife stand on the rear of the running board on the passenger side to help offset the fuel tank. The passenger side rear squatted about 1/8 of an inch, and no change on the driver's side. So there's definitely a slight lean in the rear on the driver's side. The front measurements are even.

Now if I can just get someone else to check the compression/rebound on theirs... 🙏

I don't think this is my issue, since I don't feel much in the steering wheel, nor around my feet. It's mostly all in the seat. The rear passengers also feel it. The front end seems pretty smooth. It's really noticeable at lower speeds, like in school zones. Gets better the faster you go, but not completely gone. The steering wheel picks up a slight shake over 60. Could be tires. May have lost balance at some point. Slipped a belt or something. And like I mentioned before, this seems to have gotten worse at some point. The first 500 miles felt good. Now at just about 700 and it feels like a mess. Of course, this could also just be me being more perceptive of it over time... 🤷‍♂️ But then there's the rear uneven suspension compression and rebound that make me think there might be more to it.

Once you notice it it's super annoying and you can't un-notice it. Ever other vehicle I've owned has been smooth at idle except for one other... that did this exact same thing, and I can't remember which one it was lol.

I WANT to absolutely love this truck. But these things are making it difficult.

Just to be clear, yours idles and rides smooth? You can feel a noticeable difference in shock dampening in different modes? My fear is that my dealership is going to tell me it's "normal."
Best way to scratch this itch is to test driver another RR to see if you are just sensitive or have real issues.
