Tried googling and searching and not much definitive information. AI says yes but wanted to see if anyone knew otherwise.
I know the kryptonite for the 21/22 was the bottom mounted open air alternator.
Would like to know for water/mud crossings!
thanks!

I'm told by one of the Aussie engineers that no, none of the engines in this generation Ranger have a sealed alternator.

Good question. The 2024 Ranger has some updates, but so far, there’s no solid info from Ford saying the alternator is sealed. It still looks like it’s in a low spot, and most signs point to it being open like the older models.

If you're planning deep water or mud crossings, it’s probably best to assume it’s not sealed. Some owners of the 2021–2023 models have had issues after water exposure, so it’s smart to be careful.

You might want to look into a shield or deflector if you plan to be off-road a lot. Hope this helps.
