Are you referring to the CSP for those who bought a bed cap directly through Ford? I don’t see anything pertaining to a recall.
I am only seeing it pop up as a CSP on the website. I am relaying the info I got from the dealer installing the brackets and the information I received from speaking with Ford. I guess we will see if they reimburse me in a couple of weeks after Ford receives the letter.

Do you miss all the space you had in the rear seat area on your 150 and up front? They small size in the rear on the Ranger is what I dislike.
It makes simple trips where I would throw several bags on the flat load floor of the F150 more difficult. It won't be a big deal as soon as I get a topper installed.

I actually think there come pre-installed on the Raptor for two reasons:
- The J-braces are listed as an accessory part on Ford's website, but specifically state for "non-Raptor models"
- I just ran my Raptor VIN through that link, and I am all green, with no listed recalls or TSBs

So either Raptors already come with them, or my truck already had the TSB/recall done before delivery.

It's a different part number which is why it says "non-Raptor models".

2024 Ranger Raptor on order (I think?)
Congrats on the new truck! I really like the graphic delete that you did. I know this is going to make me sound like a needy stranger on the internet. Would it be impossible to post some more pics of your truck? Maybe from a 45º angle down and up the side? I'm seriously considering the same graphic delete after seeing yours because it looks like the perfect sleeper. That is if mine ever gets built.

Great write up and greatly appreciate it. I am in the same boat and have a 2018 Gen2 Raptor. Recently placed an order for the RR and was curious how they compared.

Here is a video of the removal. It was very easy to do. I'll upload some more photos of the truck soon.

I am very happy with my decision. I do need to get the topper on there ASAP then I will be all set.

I'm interested on what a Gen 3 Raptor owner's experience would be, the handling is a lot tighter than the gen 2 imo. I really love the Ranger Raptor's unique identity and place in the lineup, but decided to go Gen 3 F-150 Raptor as it ticked more boxes for my daily life w/ a family - Interior Space, Underseat Storage, Split Folding Seats, Rear AC Vents, Ventilated Seats etc. If driving dynamics was my only concern, I think I would have stuck with the RR order. I'm excited to start seeing more of them on the road near me!

I own a 1st gen Raptor bought new 2010 6.2l love the truck the seats are great and comfy they feel a little higher quality over the RR. My only dislike about first gen is the noisy Fox Shocks Valving has been that way since new truck now has 40k miles
We have only had Ranger Raptor 3 days but the truck is very impressive the technology is so far advance since 2010
the 3.0l Will kick my 6.2l raptors ass in a drag race but i still love the v8 Sound, not saying RR sounds bad its i am old school v8 Kind of guy
they both are very comfortable and handle great
RR will get a little better mileage.
i love both trucks but 14 years of advancements truly is shown in the RR
looking forward to our first long trip in the RR

I picked up the new rig a couple of days ago and wanted to share a list of my initial thoughts from a 2nd gen F150 Raptor.

The Drive: The truck overall feels much tighter and nimble, The damping in sport mode makes it enjoyable to drive through switchbacks and the body roll is surprisingly minimal for a mid-size truck. Compared to the F150 Raptor this feels closer to a sports car. it's no GT350 but the best-handling truck I've ever driven. tires are the biggest limiting factor as far as the corners go.
The motor loves to rev, I find myself consistently getting close to 4k rpm during normal driving with my slight lead foot. In the gen2 I would rarely get over 3k. The truck will hold the RPMs up for a long time in sport mode, much longer than the Gen 2. The Baja exhaust mode is not overbearing and I find myself defaulting to that unless I'm on a call.

Exterior: Ford did a great job of making this truck look aggressive but still subtle. I like the additional width in the fenders and the headlights are very nice to look at and I'm happy with the light output. I'm very happy I went with Carbonized grey. The first thing I did after driving the truck home was a ceramic coat the truck looks great and the coating gives it a permanent wet look and the contrast to the orange accenting seats seems to work well with the grey. In my opinion, the 2nd Gen F150 Raptor is the most aggressive-looking factory truck ever mass-produced and this truck is not quite there but I'm not mad about it.

Cons, I wish they did the amber marker lights and DRLs. I understand the width being just shy of 80in and not a requirement but I think that would have rally made the North American Model stand out from the pack. The only other slight complaint is the offset of the wheels put the tire slightly inside the fender. when off-roading, I often find myself sticking my head out of the window, and tire alignment will be slightly more difficult to see. I do not like the large Raptor logos on the rear fenders so I took those off immediately. It was very easy to do with a little heat and did not leave any residue.

Interior: Starting with the cons, No A/C seats on a 60k truck is ridiculous. There should be a sunroof option even though I wouldn't get one. Physical buttons for the lockers would be awesome, I'm not a fan of having to use a menu to access the off-road functions. Ford could have used the same controls as the Bronco and mounted them above the screen on the dash. The backseat storage under the seats is very small. I wanted to keep some basic off-road equipment back there like a compressor, tow straps, and an air-down tool but even my large tow straps don't fit. It does seem like the competition has found better ways to utilize that space.

As far as the rest of the interior, I think I've already gotten used to the vertical screen after a day. I love the way the seats are bolstered. It's not a race car but is enough to hold you in place firmly when you push the truck hard. The Orange accenting looks much better in person than I expected and makes the interior feel like a special place to be in. The digital gauges are nice and I'm a huge fan of being able to see boost, oil pressure, air charge temps, etc. It's a car nerd's dream to have that from the factory. The shifter is taking a little bit of getting used to pushing on the top instead of the side to go into gear. I like the simple M button on the side to convert to manual shifting. The shift panels feel high quality and the steering wheel feels sporty.

Overall, I love the truck and am very excited to push it offroad and see what it can do. There will be several modifications coming in the next few months that I will try to update for people to see. Cheers and hope everyone gets their trucks soon!

I had a 2017 Raptor for 3 years and a 2020 for 4 years. I love my Ranger Raptor but.... a couple things I'm not crazy about are the stubby shifter and the small console storage compartment. The console compartment on my gen2 Raptors was like a bottomless pit. On my Ranger Raptor I can only fit half of my stuff in the console compartment. I guess I'll have to put some junk in the glove compartment since there isn't much in there.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the exterior. One thing I would like is a tailgate applique like the F150 Raptors have and get rid of the huge Ford oval and the Ranger tramp stamp. But I still love the RR, it's fun to drive.
