Got my first OTA sync update

My XL updated yesterday also.

Watch what you wish for. Remember the Fordpass update that removed useful features? Let's hope the vehicle doesn't disable useful features as part of an update...

Update woes - went out to the truck today and of course, My View was completely reset to factory. I was already annoyed that if would occasionally go back to the standard trip view mode, but this time... ugh. Ford really needs to figure out the gremlins in their electronics.

Edit: forgot to add, I always have my two customizable guages set to boost guage and trans temp. Both had been reset as well, and had to fiddle with the boost guage, changing it to something else and back to boost, for it to work. Screwy stuff.

Try this:

Sync 4 Sync 4a Updates

1. Ignition on
2. Reboot Sync 4(a) (hold on wheel volume down and next song + button till it reboots)
3. After reboot, wait 1min. When Sync 4 is up: do it again! Same procedure
4. After reboot, wait 2min.
5. Go to Setting - General, search for „Feedback“ and send a „Update - Wifi Update“ feedback.
6. Do this twice! Same procedure again
7. Go to update page, set the update time actual time plus 3hrs
8. Go to connectivity tab, disconnect (!) Wifi and let it off (Update will load via cellphone, be sure u have great cell service)
9. Set the parking brake (important)
10. Shut the car off
11. Close the door
12. Lock the car
13. Wait till 3hrs + 2 are gone (over night)

If not successful try it again.
