Interesting that they got significantly less gains than they did with the Explorer ST. It looks like it takes the RR E50 tune in order to make the same gains as the ST made on 93 octane

no 93 octane tune??

I wonder if those power numbers were actually from a bronco or a raptor. Would Tire size/wheel weight will have an effect on the numbers on the dyno? No one is throwing 33-37" tires on a explorer which may be why ST's are showing better results.

The baseline dyno for them were within a couple of horsepower of each other, so I think the results were normalized for tire size. I'm thinking maybe there's some other limitation at play here like fueling. The lack of 93 octane tune was surprising to me too, especially since the 91 octane tune has a note that it's for poor quality 91. Odd choices for sure

So you’re telling me that for 3x+ the $ of a Ford Performance tune I can instantly void my warranty, loose the active exhaust functionality, and make just about the same power?!

Ya, I’m all set…
You probably also don't have a speed limiter. If that's important to you.

They didn’t post 93 octane numbers. Curious if they are any different

Ford published hp and tq is at the engine
Goose Tuned published HP and TQ is at the wheels. That’s a big difference. Subtract roughly 30% off Ford’s tune to get an at the wheel HP/TQ number.

RR STOCK 322hp 360tq at the wheels.
Ford Tune 325hp 407tq at the wheels.
This is direct from Steeda on YouTube.
Goose Tuned was 426hp and 505tq at the wheels.

FORD published numbers are at the engine. That’s comparing apples to oranges.

As far as 91 vs 93, there is an option to select intended fuel use through Goose Tuned.

Goose tuned is advertising a 77hp and increase and 104tq increase w/ 91 octane for $2650. You loose the active exhaust functionality as well as the warranty on anything that the aftermarket ECU controls.
Ford Performance advertises 55hp increase and 83tq increase w/ 91 octane for $825 (can usually be found for $600). You retain all of the trucks OE features as well as a 3 year / 36k Ford warranty.

Is more than triple the cost, warranty voiding, and loosing OE features really worth 22 more hp and 21 more torque?

Hell no!

That’s wrong.
Watch the video again.
They showed 353hp and 430tq with the FP tune…

Hennessey got 349rwhp and 403rwtq stock. Steeda got 352rwhp and 430rwtq on an otherwise stock truck a week after FRPP tune and letting the truck relearn everything. So aside from you leaving out the 3rd Steeda pull results, I have a strong feeling Goose has an overly optimistic dyno or there are other mods you're leaving out that let the truck reach those numbers.
