In 17 tanks i have had two in the 18 mag range, 2 in the 17s, 5 in the 16s and many more in the 14 and 15 range.

I seem to get about 1.5 mpg better than my full size 37 package Raptor on the same trips. I would have thought it would be better but anything north of 12 is an improvement from my Gen 1 and appreciated. The RR is just a smaller brick going through the wind.
That's a smaller good looking brick😁

Hi

I have a new month old 2024 lariat, I have had the trip 1 on the whole time to calculate the MG i have been getting for the whole time i have had the truck. this is alot of pittsburgh hills, back roads, traffic, and some highway miles. 2500 or so and i am getting 22.2 overall

on a highway trip i was getting just over 24 calculated on Trip 2 that i use to reset for individual trips

Like you i have used 93 since i got the truck and i am also intentionally driving slower and with much less foot on the gas than i used to in the MDX i had.

on the highway i used eco as well and i have only used SPORT once to check that out

i dont have a tonneau cover on either yet.

hopefully you can get better soon, i have been happy with this, since the MDX was a big disappointment for me in the gas mileage dept.

I've got a 2.7L 2025 Lariat. I'm getting the EPA estimated fuel economy with only 1,100 miles on the odometer. Freeway speeds at 70-75 mph will get better mileage. 80 mph is when fuel economy starts to suffer. First time I tracked fuel I was getting 17 mpg. Second time I was getting 21 mpg. Fuel economy will probably get better as the engine breaks in more, but it's all about how you drive and what speeds you're maintaining.

24 Lariat FX4 stock, with 2.7, has about 1800 miles on it and averaging 20.7 mpg. About 70-30 highway to city driving. I would say I have a medium weight right foot. 😀 Trucks aren’t meant for mpg, they are meant for truck stuff.

Here in corpus, driving in town and once a month to san antonio or the valley, i am averaging just unser 20mpg. See my sig? That my fuelly average since i bought the truck the day after christmas.

2.3 with procal tune. I live right off the island so anytime i drive anywhere, the return home trip is a 30mph head wind.

Normally, i do zero highway. All my driving is city on a tank because i dont go out of town very often. I sit in traffic back and forth to work.

Hi all. Obviously, I didn’t buy this truck for its great MPG, that being said; I did think I’d fare a LITTLE better than this.

To add some context, I’m in Texas at sea level, and have the ProCal installed for a little less than a month now, have been filling with 93 octane since then, and have 2500 miles on the dash, bought a 24’ new in January

Did my first tank of exclusively highway miles, with not much overtaking etc, in normal mode. Ran about 200 miles in the afternoon, fully highway, minimal to no stops or idling (minus a very quick 4 min McDonald’s drive thru) and only got 15.9mpg on my entire trip.

ive seen some posts in here of yall getting close to 20, in some cases 21. Just curious if anyone else has had the same experience, or has a guess why my mileage seemingly is a bit lower than what I personally expected, or this is about accurate.
wondering a couple of things, did you have the Procal tune installed when you took possession of your truck? Was not sure what a non tuned trucks mpg would be in the same circumstances?

Also what are the cost differences and gains from a Procal tune vs a Ford Performance tune? I have a 2019 Lariat with the Roush tune, I get 14.5 in town and if i am lucky 18-19 mpg highway. i just go with the flow and avoid idiots, i have kicked around installing the FP tune in my 2025 RR when it arrives. if i get more HP & Torque right off the bat compared to my 2019 and my MPG was the same or better I would be okay with that but really happy if the mpg is a bit better after break in.

Most all that are getting 20+ mpg are in 2.3 and 2.7 Rangers. I’d question anyone saying they’re getting 20 mpg in a Raptor.

With a FP tune, there’s no way that’s happening. If you’re getting 15-17 mpg, this is the norm for any RR with an FP tune. Anything beyond 17 mpg in the RR, is not normal driving.🇺🇸
whats the average RR mpg stock without a tune? I would love the extra HP a tune gives but you add in the cost of the tune then the extra $1+ per gallon going up to premium and that adds up fast. Even adding an octane booster will cost $10-$15 dollars to a tank if you opted to buy basic grade gas. too mad there isnt an MPG tune adjustment on the dashboard to help with fuel economy. I owned a 1990 Full size Bronco for 17 years. 351w v8 got 10mpg doing everything, in town, running 70-80 for road trips even while pulling a tandem axle trailer with a cuddy cabin boat full of gas and 4 people inside...10mpg. a 32 gallon tank wasnt horrible on the wallet until the 1st gulf war then gas around here shot up to $5 a gallon for cheap stuff. had to trade her in...

17-19 average mpg range, depending on how the trucks is driven. With the FP tune, it‘s 91 plus premium octane, no alternative.🇺🇸

Just had the new wheels and 32 Nittos put on today. Wider /taller than the stock Lariat wheels. Not sure how much heavier. Will see what it does to mpg starting tomorrow…but for the look and stance and the feel it will be worth whatever I give up in mpg.

Hello, I had the same situation with my raptor when I bought it and it was resolved after I did an early oil change.

Have the tune and a tonneau but mpg’s still averages 16.8-16.9

yeah I get about 14 miles per gallon, but not sure how accurate it is since I put 35s on.

I've got a 2024 Ranger Raptor (No Tune) w/2200 miles and I'm getting about 12.7-13.7 in traffic / around the house and about 14.3-15.3 on the highway.

I've seen conflicting reports on the tune where some folks say the improved gear switching has increased MPG, while others have said it's caused a decrease in MPG - anyone have any insight/experience here?

I'm averaging about .75 miles less per gallon with the tune, i.e. mid to high 14's before it and high 13's to low 14's now.

Good call. I wonder if there individual locations that they drive in makes a bigger difference. Traffic density, stop lights etc.
