Could you provide some photos straight on and straight above the bracket? I tried getting mine installed last night, but couldn't seem to get it on there without contacting the hood.

Once I figure out the fitment, this is a ridiculously well built bracket for the money.

Let us know if any addition photos would help. :like:

I'm seeing the same thing. Seems to always touch the hood on one side.

That's about how mine looked. I talked to FSE, they said the contact is fine, with the PPF. I don't think PPF is really meant to handle that kind of wear, so I added 2 fender washers between the light bracket and the hood hinge to give me a tiny bit of clearance.

I really think a small adjustment in the first bend off the hinge would make this bracket fit perfectly, but they're so stiff I don't really have the tools to make that happen.

Having the same issue of once the hood is aligned, it touches the hood. For it not to touch the hood the hood would be badly misaligned. Going to go to the hardware store to try and get some foam to put where the hood touches the mount.

For the price of this you think it would come perfect. Just needs to change the angle of that bend and it would be perfect

Ah, I see where you guys have contact. Don’t force the installation as you could scratch the PPF. Here’s how we fitted ours. Hope this helps:

Once you have everything installed in place but the bracket is touching the hood on the outer edge, this means some angular adjustment is needed. We built in slots instead of drilling holes to allow that level of adjustment. You don’t have to push the bracket all the way into the slots.

First, slowly loosen the two bolts to the point they are still on, but no longer clamping down the brackets. Then push or rotate the brackets to give yourself as much clearance as you can. This is how much of a gap we can create before tightening the bolts down, without any external force exerted on them.

Here’s another angle.

Now, when you tighten the bolts down again, gently keep the brackets in place. Make sure they don’t move during tightening.

Once everything’s tightened, you should have a paper-thin gap, or at least no contact to any concern.

Fully tightened gap. Also see video below.

All the brackets are precision machined within an extremely tight GD&T. We actually specified the edge where the brackets touching the hood 1/16” more rearward compared to our first steel version to make installation easier. Then changed the foam protection to a single layer of PPF film to make them slim. Let us know if that fixes it.

@FSE-LA thanks for the details! I'll adjust and report back, but I was definitely sliding the bracket all the way into the pockets.

I tried this just now and makes no difference, once the bolts are tightened to spec it hits.

My advice would be make A a tad bit longer to prevent touching and keeping all bends the same. Or changing the bend on B to be further away from the hood and then bending the top part more to make it flat where you mount the lights.

I get that there is side to side adjustability, but their is no forward or backwards adjustability which seems to be the issue
