I passed up buying an RR that was white because I'm a deer hunter and white is the absolute worst color for a deer hunter

I will say that I think that white and red are the best looking colors for Ranger Raptors.

Those wheels are the factory low pressure cast alloys which are the most common config. Factory forged bead lockers have gun metal grey plastic beauty rings which are quite distinct, but some people paint them (I probably will too).

Nonfunctional trim rings are aluminum - I had mine powder coated due to some minor rash done during delivery or by the selling dealer's lot jockeys.

Just curious what was the cost and prep on your wheels to powder coat? since it's so new did they just click clean them good or did they still have to sand blast them first?

well..... I paid $920 for everything, I think the wheels were 400ish. I do have 8300 miles on the truck.

Love the look of the roof. I was looking to wrap mine but that powder coat looks great.

I would say they just prepped and painted the roof, the wheels and bash plate were the only things that were powdercoated

Looks good! I’m curious how the powder coating of the skid plate holds up against trail rash and bashing rocks and whatnot. I’m considering having mine done but don’t want to have to get it repainted periodically, so wondering which route will hide scratches and dents better.

Also, I’m curious to know if the body shop showed you a preview image of what it would look like with A pillars and top of the doors black too, like the TRD Pro. If so, can you share that image?

unfortunately they did not, I was wondering what that would look like as well

no, they were a gunmetal gray, if you zoom in on the center caps, that was the original color. I just prefer the glossy black

I'm a big fan of OEM + stuff so I love this!! Personally, I would have done the 'FORD' on the front in gloss black, just to tie in the roof and bash plate a bit better, but man, this is how they should come from factory! Looks so nice!!

I definitely like the black up front as I'm not a big fan of the silver lip. I like the bumper design overall, just not that silver color on the lip, but I get what they were going for, matching it to the natural boron steel skid plate.

On the flip side, the skid plate isn't very visible from most angles, so I disagree with their color choice and like the OP, would prefer it to be black.

So, I understand the skid plate is powder coated, did they paint the bumper section? Is it plastic? Did they paint the parking sensors to match?

I'm looking to do the same when I get my truck but probably have them wrap it in black Xpel instead. but I was wondering what to do with the silver parking sensors.
