UPR has a remote drain kit. Never have to remove the CC, just open the valve and let it drain.🇺🇸

So in the winter if you don't check your catch can once a week you can get condensation in it and it can possibly make it into your intake. Thanks for the info !

I don’t think it needs to be that often, but yes it is good to check. Whatever is in the can would have went through the engine without the catch can.

It gets recycled through the intake and burned up in the cylinders. Most modern cars have zero issue handling this oil without gumming up the valves.
Thanks! I had two F-150's with a 2.7 ecoboost 50k miles on one, and 18k on the other. I used octane boost with them and they seemed to run better with age.

I have Ford performance catch cans on my 2.7 Bronco. They work well.
Performance won’t change with catch cans. Down the line depending on the situation and application the back of your intake valves will remain cleaner longer and your intercooler won’t have as much oil in it. These are maintenance items that keep your engine in top shape longer.
I'm not that familiar with the 2.3’s plumbing so I’m not sure if the inter cooler cleanliness applies to you.

Hit 6k miles on the truck so it was time to do my oil change. I did my first one around 1k and installed the catch can around the same time.

I wanted to see what 5k miles of driving added to the can if anything. Majority of my driving was all city. While it wasn't a ton of stuff, it was enough, and it was gross. A mix of water and sludge. Pics attached.
