Is there a way to find the ROW part numbers and order from overseas Ford parts dealers? I've searched, but I can't find an comprehensive parts catalog that shows the handle and trim parts.
I didn't find the Ford part numbers over in Thailand. Only place I could find them was on a site used there called Shopee. They were quite cheap ($75 L&R w/ tweeters), and didn't include the Ford part numbers in the listing. If someone figures out how to install the mount the grab handle screws into, I may have a friend in Thailand order these for me and ship them to the states.

For like literally the 1000000 time.... the United States does not get a drivers side grab handle. This is due to the small overlap crash rating and the need to improve this by where the curtain airbag is located in the vehicle on the drivers side. Unless MASSIVE improvements are made to the frame of the vehicle to deflect energy in a small overlap crash (hint: you won't see this until a generational leap) you WILL NOT GET A GRAB HANDLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. STOP ASKING
Ok. Most people know this that have been part if this group for awhile. Stop being such an ass in your response! Or how about just not responding at all.

As soon as I can source the plastic pieces, I will have a grab handle, even if I have to remove the airbag to build the bracket it mounts to.
Thats dedication! 👏

Agreed though, the seat bolster is not going to wear well at all over time

Hey Mav, I don't know if this is what you are thinking, but how about this. If we can make 2 metal brackets that we can screw to the current A piller, with the proper connecting holes for the grab handle, and find out how to obtain the trim and handle from another country, I think we may have something. There's gotta be somewhere we can screw some pre-fab metal brackets to that pillar. I work with machinists that may be able to help fab a part.

I'm nearly 100 lbs heavier than you, and yeah, it's tough to get in and out without straining a knee or destroying the left bolster on the seat. Pulling on the steering wheel doesn't help, because it's a horizontal pull, not vertical, which I need to help get up on the side step, and then get up and over the seat bolster.

As soon as I can source the plastic pieces, I will have a grab handle, even if I have to remove the airbag to build the bracket it mounts to.
Here's another idea I'd be willing to consider. Affix one of these somehow to the A pillar or even the roof. As long as we can find some kind of gromet that would be esthetically appealing to cover holes if needed.

Are you going to do this and let us know ?
Possibly. I am still trying to figure out the bracket part number (earlier someone showed a 5g kit that included it). I would really only want the driver side bracket. Then it is a matter of determining if it can be fitted with the airbag or not. I'll need to pull the passenger side to see if both fit at the same time or not to be sure.

If those requirements are met, then I will order the A pillar trim and grab handle from Thailand via my connection in country.

I got some still shots from the video that that one guy posted, and I looked for steel in there, and I see some spots where we can fab up something to hold the handle tie holes too.
Have to really take one of these off to look at it first and I don't want to do it to my wife's but when mine comes in in a couple weeks, I'll definitely be brave enough to take mine off and see if it's doable.

Always spreading misinformation has nothing to do with crash testing otherwise it would not be on the passenger side too. Its Ford being cheap plain and simple.

Complains about mis-information spreading, states his own opinion as fact. The part already exists man, its not a cost saving issue.

Not having a steering wheel is the reason the curtain airbag bag geometry can be completely different on the passenger side because the vehicle can have a massive pillow style air bag instead of a smaller wheel style air bag in the steering wheel for the driver, but go on i can continue to fend off your BS

I'm 6' 155 lbs, I dont think our steering columns will bend buy using them to get in unless you haven’t figured out how to get in and out by now. Its just aslight inconvenience now. Hopefully well have one by 2028....
I am also 6' 155lbs. I wonder if we look the same.

That would be a backup plan, but I still want to exhaust every effort to install a grab handle on the driver's side that is identical to the passenger's side.

I don't know if the A-pillar has the thickness or strength to hold a screw-in bracket. I'll need to see it up close to determine if that would hold my fat ass trying to climb up into the truck, but I'm guessing not. Need to see how the factory metal bracket attaches, and if it's workable, use that from a ROW truck. If not, I will fab and weld a bracket to the A-pillar that the factory ROW handle will mount to and trim will cover.

Just need the trim and handle before I tear into it first.

Sounds like a good plan. Be careful if you go the weld route, try not to burn anything. I found a better shot from the video and you can clearly see the North American version handle holder is riveted on just like the one in the foreign picture you posted. Don't give up the ship my friend!

This has been an issue for quite some time now. Here's a video of some guy putting one on the driver's side of a 2014 European Ford Ranger. If the stampings are the same for every country's Gen6 Ranger, then this is doable.......
