Curt Echo Wireless Controller

I have an opportunity to get a great deal on a 2024 Ranger with the basic tow package. I've been reading all the discussion about folks being frustrated with how to wire an aftermarket TBC. Occasionally someone states that they gave up and bought a Curt Echo. E-trailer states it's a fit for the 2024 Ranger and folks that have bought it appear to be having no problems. I would like to hear from others who have used the Curt Echo as their solution. Pros and Cons.

I have been using the Curt Echo over the summer and it works better than expected. It is easy to use as you just plug it in to the trailer connection and go! I have a 3-foot extension to attach the Echo onto my trailer tongue, as I have concerns of that much length and weight hanging out of the truck connector. Plus, loss of the Echo.

The Con of it is getting the unit hooked up to my iPhone. But then again, I have issues anytime I install an App.

[The Lone Ranger]

I have used one in the past and been very happy with it. When programming to Ranger had problems - phone said Bluetooth was on but would not program to phone. Curt guided me to the list of apps that were connected to Bluetooth, the Echo was not. So once I turned that on, everything went fine.
