Has anyone installed different brake pads and/or rotors to either get better pedal feel or improved braking performance?

I’m not interested in spending thousands on crazy aftermarket calipers but if a different pad compound or better rotors improve the ranger’s brakes then I’d do that in a heartbeat.

I’ll bet different rotors and composition pads, along with stainless lines would have a substantial impact on pedal pressure and overall braking.

I’ve never had a Ford truck that’s had really goods brakes. It always takes some modification to bring them up to what I‘d consider excellent braking.

This is the next project but I believe I’m going to have to have the SS built. Haven’t seen any available yet for the RR.🇺🇸

I'm sure anything would work better. My brakes began screeching, so I brought it to Ford. The guys at the shop said it was because Ford decided to use a recycled material for the brake pads, which create a sort of dust to build up on the rotars which causes screeching. They cleaned everything up under warranty but basically said it would happen again.

Need to put brake anti-squeal on the back of the pads. They’re giving you a BS story.

It’s not brake dust that causes it. The only way this can happen is with a metallic composition pad. Brake dust doesn’t build up on rotors. It’s harmonic vibration. Anti-Squeal stops this.🇺🇸
