I have a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4 just love it.
Has anyone upgraded thier brakes. I'm specifically looking to increase the stopping power. Would like the brakes to feel like there grabbing better.

Here's a video about a brake upgrade - based in Australia so may not be 100% relevent, but may have some decent info for you regardless

Thanks for posting this, I thought it was just me. I too love this truck (2.7L Lariat 4x4), but the brakes seem weak.

The reason I asked is because around 1000 miles I had to do a pretty hard stop from 80mph and put some heat into the brakes. After I did that, they worked better. It seemed like they needed some heat to bed them in correctly.

I did see some PowerStop pads for Ranger that I have experience with when I had my Silverado. They stop really well once they warm up. The compound does not work well when cold. Look in your rearview mirror, because you need to make sure the guy behind you can stop. They are rough on rotors, but you never get something for nothing. I was changing rotors at 35,000 miles, my stock Silverado brakes went to about 60,000.

Thank for your comments. Hoping to hear that someone swamped out the whole brakes system and thier thoughts. Think 7k miles is too much to try a emergency stop?

I like Powerstops Z36 pads for my towing rig. Ceramic pads work well and take some heat but bite all the time.
I want to try some EBC Yellow Stuffs. Anyone tried those on a ranger yet?
